I was supposed to give several presentations on kimono history and kimono dressing over the weekend at a costuming convention. The convention got cancelled. I completely understand why, I agree with the decision, but I’m still totally fucking gutted. I’d prepared handouts, slideshows, and resources. I’d worked through the anxiety I always get before this stuff. I’d sorted out clothing that was professional but still showed my personality. I was looking forward to educating and interacting with lots of awesome people. So yeah, I’m 100% understanding but also really disappointed. And anyone who tells me I’m being unreasonable can kiss my disappointed but virus-free ass.
