With nothing to do came no worries for Florence. It was her free day, her time to do whatever. She had done some window shopping for friends earlier and ate at her favorite food stand. It was nothing special, nothing too remarkable to tell about. Florence had no plans or schedule, so as she roams the streets of the area, she figures she would do some traveling around. The bus stop wasn’t too far from where she was.
Getting there was no problem for the girl, however, waiting was just a pain. Luckily, there was a free seat for her to settle down. It was an ordinary week day, not a lot of people were around. There was a couple of business workers and right next to her sat a male about to doze off. He’s so going to miss his stop, she thinks. The bus comes a few minutes later and Florence is surprised. Usually, waits were definitely longer and her patience had to be pushed around a bit. Not this time, though.
Florence takes an idle glance at the sleeper next to her. She’d feel bad if this was his stop and he happened to miss it. With her good attitude, she nudges him. “Excuse me,” she says. “Hey, wake up! This isn’t your stop, is it?”
Days slipped into days. The constant question of 'what day is it again' often left his confused mind and verbalized into words. Much like today, one of those blurry days with no real meaning.
Junhyung often did not get time off. And when he did, it certainly did not feel like it. Somehow, in some way, someone would make it busy and steal his much needed rest.
Which was another thing about today- here he was, sitting on a bus bench waiting to catch the one headed for Hongdae. During a heated debate among his members, Junhyung managed to get himself tied up in a dare. You can't do it, Doojoon's voice rang in his head, no way. You're chicken. He could even hear Yoseob's playful mimic of the word 'chicken' following like an echo.
An annoying echo that pushed all of his buttons and had him accepting the dare. Unfortunately.
See, the debate was about the 'regular' life and how it was impossible to get that back. It made sense since they were idols after all (really famous ones too), but was it truly impossible? Junhyung felt the notion to be wrong, nothing was impossible, and immediately his members jumped on him, telling him he could never go an entire day without abusing the luxuries of an idol or being noticed as an idol.
So here he was. Using the bus. For the first time in how many years- Junhyung lost track. He disguised himself before leaving the house, pulling on a beanie and big, thick-framed shades. His attire was simple, deciding on a over-sized hoodie and gym pants. Nothing too flashy or attention grabbing. Honestly, Junhyung looked normal for once. And lucky for him, he didn't have a striking face like some of his members, so the glasses and cap worked well, helping him blend into the crowds.
SDW [11:00AM] - u look silly hyung!
He snorted as he swiped a response back.
YJH [11:02AM] - uh huh last time I send you a snapchat selfie
Junhyung had posed himself on the bus bench, awkwardly but that was for effect, to provide proof of his 'regular' endeavors. His members ate the random snapchats up like candy.
YJH [11:05AM] - I'll txt you guys in a bit my bus arrives soon don't want to be a bother
He vaguely remembered bus etiquette and one rule was to use your phone silently and too a minimum. So he decided to store it back in his pocket all together.
Bus 302 would arrive in another fifteen minutes. Not bad. He rested his head back on the bench, closing his eyes beneath his sunglasses. A few people bustled around him, getting ready for the transportation.
The voices of young teens laughing, business men on their phones chattering away... Sort of... Sort of lulled him. Yes, it was actually quite nice and all too familiar in a nostalgic way...
And then suddenly his body jolted. Blinking rapidly, sun not ruthlessly attacking his sleepy eyes thanks to those expensive frames, he clutched over his chest to calm his surprised heartbeat. Had he been discovered? What had he been doing anyway? Oh, yeah, he fell asleep. Crap, was his bus gone?
That's when he heard her voice. He had no idea who she was, but she sounded nice, cheerful and unknowing- he wasn't discovered. "Ah!" He covered one cheek with his free hand, embarrassed and frazzled.
"Wow," he sighed, "you really saved me there." He let go of his hoodie and pulled back his sleeve, eyeing his watch. "Definitely is my stop." His voice was a rushed murmur, he wouldn't be shocked if she had to strain her hearing to understand him. He had a bad case of the mumbles and hadn't outgrown it, much to his dismay and many others.
Junhyung gave her a genuine smile. Who knows how long he would have slept if this nice girl had not been waiting too. "Thanks, I appreciate it." As he rose to his feet, he slightly turned to her. "This your stop too?" His eyebrow lifted behind his sunglasses in question.
It'd be nice to properly thank her and he figured a bus ride next to her would do the trick. The bus driver made a noise, probably urging them to enter and Junhyung quickly pulled out his bus pass to be scanned. The one he had just purchased in the morning as soon as he left his apartment.
