My brother texted me to ask if I wanted to meet up and take a dance class. He started going last week. My response:

I wanna go. I have a mental problem. I have this vision of not being mentally strong enough to handle whatever choreo I have so then I break down in the middle of class.

I can’t even convince myself to go do the one thing I know in my heart that I want to do and have always wanted…

With lights off in an intimate warehouse-studio-turned-venue, the crowd focused on a mysterious silhouette with a mellow soprano voice. Elohim.

The LA singer-songwriter played and floated between elements of her setup, and I thought, “This is what it would sound like if the sexy operating system from ‘Her’ made music.”
