Name changes and world transfers will be processed during this maintenance.  Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.  -Time-  Pacific: 10:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2011 - 4:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011  Eastern: 1:00 AM - 7:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011  -What-  The following will be unavailable:  All MapleStory game servers  -Updates-  - Additional security features in PvP maps - Cash Shop update: Tim's Secret Lab - Gachapon update - Players with Iruvata Boosters in their inventories will have them removed and will be given one Gachapon ticket for each Iruvata Booster that was removed.  These Gachapon Tickets expire after seven days.  If you have Iruvata Boosters in storage, remove them from storage then change channel, enter and exit the Cash Shop, or log out then log in again for them to be replaced with Gachapon Tickets.  -Known Issue-  - Please do not use Tim's Secret Lab on Pet Equips. It may at first appear to work, but it was not designed to function on Pet Equips. You will lose your Tim's Secret Lab, and it will not actually work on Pet Equips. 

We survived the Big Bang, endured throughout the Resistance, and then celebrated with Jubilation. Now, Maple World must prepare for Chaos! Each of Chaos’ five updates will provide Maple World with its own individual challenges. However, for those special Maplers who want to demonstrate loyalty and perseverance above-and-beyond their calling, Chaos will also offer a relay marathon event!  This event will span all five Chaos updates. At the outset of each, we will update this post with the information needed to complete the requirement for that stage. Each requirement must be completed during the stated timeframe, and all must be completed in order to qualify for the prize.  At the end of the marathon, Maplers who have completed all of the requirements will receive 10,000 Maple Points!  Requirement #1: Age of Heroes  Make a new Evan, Dual Blade, or Aran in the Chaos world and level up to at least level 30. Deadline: July 11 Requirement #2: Age of Artisans Pick up two professions and level up both of them to level 3 on one character of your choice in any world. Information about professions can be found here. Deadline: July 19 Requirement #3: Age of Battle Be on the winning team in at least one PVP Team Battle. Deadline: July 26 Requirement #4: Ice Knight Win at least one Ice Knight Battle, against or as the Ice Knight. Deadline: August 9 Requirement #5: GMS Exclusive Content Coming in August!

  MapleStory has never had a Hot Time like this, so make sure you’re logged in this Friday July 29 at 4:30 PM Pacific (7:30 PM Eastern) to receive your rewards!  Log In Early and Earn Extra!  Be sure to arrive early and stick around to take advantage of our 2x EXP and Drop event!  July 29, 2011 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Pacific (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern)  *Some restrictions apply to Hot Time. In order to participate, you must:  - Have a character that is level 13 or above.  - Have space in your inventory to receive the item.  - Be logged in for the whole minute from 4:30 PM - 4:31 PM Pacific.  - Be in the main map of a town or hunting map that is regularly accessible.  - Make sure your character is alive.  Moments before Hot Time and until Hot Time is past, please do not engage in any activity – simply relax!  - Do not change channels.  - Do not engage in any quests.  - Do not enter the Cash Shop or MTS.  - Do not talk to any NPCs or use Gachapon.  - Do not use your inventory or storage.  - Do not manage your wedding wish list.  - Do not enter a mini-dungeon.  - Do not use a ship or other timed method of transit between locations.
