“I grew up listening to Selena a lot. My uncle especially loved playing her music. She was an icon in my household. Not too long ago my uncle and I were looking through family photos and we stumbled upon these. I was so shocked. He was so casual about it. He told me stories about how he knew Selena and spent time with her and her family. He also mentioned he spent time with Pete as well. He used to be a radio host and do music work which is how he got to know them well. He said she was just a kind person and had the most beautiful voice. He said this photo was taken at the Salinas Rodeo. She asked him to sing a song with her for fun.”
