#I feel like my trajectory w d6 has been a little dynamic #cant say i was into them equally for all parts of my life and there was def a period of time where I was rather disconnected but #during some of the more darker moments of my life I had listened to this song and all I heard was everything I needed to here #its what brought me back 100% d6 instead of being a group I listened to just for the music props became a group I depended on #for emotional comfort as well and through that they really transformed into an ultimate group for me as well (when b4 all i did was ult yk)#like this is around when their lyrics really REALLY started hitting me #우린 in particular I just needed so much of the frankness in this song #'Always' is so fucking powerful in this song and the certainty of that statement was so fucking good bc yes it acknowledges 새벽이 찾아와 but als #That the darkness will also come. ALWAYS.#but that is also just a 그냥 그런거야 #thats just life how it flows. I also needed the #뭐든걸 바라보며 살자 우린 specifically the 뭐든걸 #to me thats the good and the bad. but dont forget about the good even when its so dark #also the 우린 is so powerful like to me 무적 levels of power in that one word.#I really do think this is the song that transformed my relationship w d6 music #and the song that fully brought me back to living life. #the amount of times i go back to this performance of youngks sheesh #its a tone that i feel like we have heard once and once only from him #and i wonder how much of it was him trying to /match/ the vocal style of the other person so to speak #his mix sounds so supported and so beautiful and a little more 'chesty' than he usually goes for #but its also like not super gritty the way he gets in day6 songs live these days #im actually not too sure/familiar with how he chose to sing songs live back when this came out #i admittedly didnt listen to a lot of live day6 recordings but to me it felt pretty similar to their studio recordings from my memory??#whereas these days i feel like theres such a distinct difference between live youngk and studio youngk #and i love it i love love love live youngk so much too #hes alwas been free musically thats smth him and jae shared on stage i felt #not afraid to play with the beats while singing and just jumping around and all that but whether that also extended to his voice back then #i genuinely do not remember!!#regardless! this voice is still so unique to me because of this balance of the chestiness with his more 'boyish' sound really not sure how #to describe it but #he also got paired with a baritone this round and it definitely looks like they picked a song for that voice range which #means youngk can hold out notes that are high for baritone but probably more comfortable for him since his voice sits a little higher #okie i may have to stand corrected moon river cover he utilizes a similar technique to here!#but even so not a lot of songs he gets to belt out notes this low (for him) so! a treat to hear him w this voice #i listen to this so much u have no idea lol #video #since hes the type to ask these questions i too wish to know what he was thinking about when singing here #why he chose to sing in a way that felt so not-youngk to the point even fans were like oh youngks purposefully hiding his voice so we cant #tell its him like even back then i was like NO lol this IS youngk

#the chops on all the ballad singers in korea sheesh thats whos been swallowing up the kids w good technique #listening to this and being like huh? is that resonance in seunghwans voice???#the more relaxed nature of the mask may have helped w that but also the notes that he sounded resonant on #were lower than his held notes i was finding in his songs #so its possible those lower notes are constantly resonant but some higher notes are not #dont know him like that tho but i feel like for me i need to hear it multiple times to be srue about my ears lkJSLDKfj #i am never 100% positive and i hate saying things that might not be true in case it gets perpetuated as truth #but there is a possibility this mans has resonance and it is quite lovely to hear #god yeah even just relistening now what a lovely voice #and it is markedly different in this video than what he usually goes with in some of hsi personals ongs #in terms of execution #video #lovely to hear their conversations about music #youngk
