Yay, we have a written version of it!

To fully understand architecture we must be patient and become fascinated in the unfamiliar. Through neglect comes degradation. Through degradation comes ruination. Through ruination comes fascination. The familiar is the familiar.

Some architects think architecture is the stuff that matters. It is not; I do not want to talk about architecture. What matters more is the time that we find ourselves living in. That’s the only place architecture ever really lives.

Once someone did something stupid in studio. Someone proceeded to call them Frank Lloyd Wrong. I laughed for about an hour. This is my life.

HAHA for some reason I can picture some crazy kid running around studio yelling this out loud.

I consider 99 percent of modern architecture to be boring, banal and barren.

Writing about architecture meant writing about life down to the corner and the curb — buildings are lived in, after all, not just sculptures or monuments on a skyline.
