This is An Emergemcy ā A Guide on How To Farm For Gems and Keys Right Away
So a certain Octavinelle housewarden dorm leader decided it would be funny to steal everyone's gems, starting from his birthday celebration up to the end of March, which will have Beans Day. As such, there have been several questions in the inbox asking for how to farm gems to get the desired SSRs. So I decided to make a general post on how to farm for rolls, not just for this Azulpocalypse but for pretty much anytime you need to get rolls.
Here are several ways that you can earn gems and keys.
Clear all story battles and rhythmics.
Start catching up on main story if you haven't, and you're in need of gems. When you win a battle or finish a rhythmic in the story, you will receive 10 gems.
As more time passes, TWST will start dropping in events, which will have their own story battles and/or rhythmics. Those will serve as good gem sources as well.
I'm sure many of you know this, but it's good to drill in this reminder. Each week, you will get 6 missions that ask you to do lessons, rhythmics, and tests. You'll be able to get 60 gems from accomplishing all of them, which equates to 2 rolls. Diligently do your weeklies every week, and your resources will start to accumulate and grow.
In the context of Azul's dorm banner duration, his banner will end on March 9, 2022, which is a Wednesday. The weekly missions will refresh before then, so you have time to gather 60 more gems before you say bye bye to his banner.
In a week, you will get 15 gems on the second day, 20 gems on the fourth day, and 25 gems on the seventh day. In total, you get 60 gems as well. And this repeats for the next week.
Log in during character birthdays.
Every birthday, there will be a 10-key given to all players. Make sure you log in anytime during the birthday itself or else you won't get the keys.
In the Twistunes tab in the Home screen, you can access all the rhythmics that you played in main story. Each rhythmic has 10 missions, which will give you 30 gems in total. Currently, since we have 18 rhythmics now, if you haven't done your rhythmics at all, you can get 540 gems from them.
More rhythmics will be added in the future, so there will be new ones where you can farm for gems.
Every first day of the month, the shop replenishes keys in the gem and exam token shop. In the gem shop, you can get a set with a 10-roll key for 250 gems and a set with 3 keys for 50 gems. You'll lose 300 gems, but you will gain 13 rolls in return, which is 3 more rolls than what you would have if you didn't buy them.
In the exam token shop, there will be one discounted key that you can buy with 50 tokens and two keys that are worth 150 tokens each, so you have to spend 300 of them to get both.
At this point in the game, I'm sure you're all getting new cards from the gacha. When you do, take this time to level up their vignette level so that you can read their vignettes. Each chapter of their stories will give you 5 gems. R cards only have one chapter, so they give you 5 gems. SR cards have two chapters, so they give 10 gems. SSR cards have three chapters, so they give you 15 gems.
Do 100 lessons for every character.
Each character has a set of missions to complete in their lesson tab. If you do 100 lessons with a character, you'll get 30 gems. Since there are 22 characters, you'll get 660 gems from doing 100 lessons with all of them in total. That's equivalent to 22 rolls.
Once you do 100 lessons with them, you can do 1000 lessons for each character, which will grant you 50 gems. In total, you can get 1100 gems, which is equivalent to 36 rolls. However, this is very time-consuming, and it's a long-term investment, so don't stress too much about this.
Do your general missions.
Below the weekly missions tab, there are a set of general missions that you can accomplish. Most of them will reward you with 10 gems. If you see that you've done 19 out of 20 water exams for example or have groovified 9 out of 10 cards, do prioritize those missions. They will also add up until you hit a limit, so these missions are your best places to farm for gems in the long run.
You can also get keys if you log in the game for a certain amount of days and clear a book.
Events are great places to get gems. Currently, the Octavinelle training camp is ongoing, and you can get 30 gems from doing 40 of either history or flying lessons. Per character, that means getting 60 gems. Since Octavinelle has three members, you'll receive 180 gems in total from this camp, which is equivalent to 6 rolls. Future training camps will operate similarly. All events, aside from training camp, will give you 3 keys to buy using event currency, so you also don't have to spend for them.
The upcoming Culinary Crucible/Masterchef event will also have some missions that will give you gems to prepare for any future SSRs that you are planning to roll for, so keep an eye out for them.
Follow all these tips, and you'll be rich in gems and keys before you'll even know it! But of course, if the fates decide that you don't get any of your desired cards, there is always the option to open your wallet~ and especially for Azul~
