The line never seemed to end.
Sukuna didn’t even look at them anymore. Didn’t care who they were, what they said, or how much they claimed to love him.
"Can I take a picture, please?!"
"No. Pictures and hugs are with that idiot."
He jerked his chin toward Gojo across the VIP meet-and-greet room.
As expected, Gojo was thriving.
Laughing. Smiling. Letting fans hang off his shoulders. Signing whatever they shoved in his hands.
Sukuna took another sip of his beer, trying to maintain what little patience he had left while being stuck in this stupid event full of desperate groupies.
"Can you autograph my bra?!"
He inhaled slowly. He swore to God, if he heard that question one more time—
"Hell no. Take the fucking poster and move."
"Don’t mind him, doll," Gojo called smoothly from across the room. "He’s in a mood. I got you."
The girl giggled and hurried toward him like an idiot.
Sukuna just wanted it to end soon. He needed something stronger to drink to get through this.
"Oh my God! I can’t believe it’s really you!"
It was your turn in line.
He didn’t bother to look at you. He simply grabbed the marker and continued signing the standard posters from tonight’s show.
"Could you sign my vinyl instead?" You asked nervously.
His eyes lowered to the object in your hands.
A vinyl record. Their first album, before the fame. Before everything changed.

"This one is still my favorite!" you said, unable to hide your excitement.
He lifted his head curiously and looked directly at you.
You kept talking, your voice filled with nervous excitement. "Your guitar work… a heavy yet harmonious sound. It inspired me to create my own."
He reached out and took the vinyl from your hands.
A faint, almost relieved half-smile tugged at his lips.
"What’s your name?" he asked briefly, but there was something lighter in his voice now.
"I-it’s [Y/N]." You could barely breathe.
He signed the vinyl. Slowly.
Deliberately. Unlike the others.
When he handed it back, you grinned, thanked him softly, and stepped away, making room for the next fan.
Your hands trembled slightly as you walked toward the exit.
There was a message written beneath it.
You reminded me why I started, [Y/N]. Don't lose that.
Ryomen Sukuna.
(XXX-XXX)
Your eyes widened when you noticed it, written small below his signature.
…Could it be his phone number?
Author’s Note:
This short fanfic was inspired by a rockstar Sukuna illustration I made. I don’t plan on writing a part two yet, since I’m more of an artist than a writer — and doing either one well takes a lot of time.
That said, each short story I post will come with a small illustration made with care. I hope you enjoy them!
