The “cancelled” mentality is the one thing that’s annoying me the most about pop culture nowadays. If someone has one “misstep” (even if that misstep literally has zero implications) they’re automatically eternally blackballed. Something similar happened with Gwen Stefani recently, though on a lesser scale than Jimmy. She happened to be in the same room as Paul Ryan for literally less than 3 minutes, didn’t even talk to him, and people are calling her a republican because of it. It’s insane.
Yes! Part of me wishes he wasn’t the host of the tonight show because then people wouldn’t try to find every reason to hate him. Like gosh, the whole elephant segment was 4 years ago. That drama is long gone and Jeff hasn’t been on since 2015. That was even before the whole Trump thing happened. Oh wow I haven’t heard of the Gwen Stefani drama, that’s ridiculous.Â
