Nozomi Midori, one of Yu-Gi-Oh! ME's main protagonists, alongside Amber Hagoromo, And Yurie Totsumi. Wasn't always the way she is.
A vibrant magical girl fan who is shy, whose major confrontations are her posing as her own oc. Her history stems from various experimentations, until we got what we have.
There were no illustrations, but her earliest ideas were Yurie's love rival, embodied in a performative style trying to get her out of the way.
She was largely absent from the early comics, at least, until the first design came out.
She was initially called just Midori, which caused confusion with the GX manga character, Midori Hibiki. As her deck was not done at the time, she never dueled. This was around 2018.
The second design, borrowed hair design from a Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS one off character. Her working name was Kibo Midori. She's always a shy girl who dotted Yurie for how cool she is, and is Melissa's Friend.
The red eyes was something rare that's not related to magic, also, her outfit outside school was this old. And an unused concept of her magical girl outfit, she changes her hair and eyes as she transforms, I didn't like it, so I discarded it .
The second magical girl outfit, much like the first, but in pink, while she keeps her original hair.
Nozomi's design doesn't change, but prominent changes that include adopting a similar color palette to Kotori Mizuki from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, which added to her overall cuteness.
Also, her name is Nozumi Midori.
Her magical girl outfit was made in 2022.
This design was what I nailed it, a self made outfit with pumps that are also jetpacks. It's when her deck was truly realized and fleshed out.
Nowadays designs always portray her magical girl design in this modern rendition.
Her pumps are based on the vintage stiletto from 1950. (Artistic choice).
She's the shy nerd who displays her strength through her magical girl oc cosplay.
Side note, as of now, her name is correctly spelled as Nozomi.
