Andi's just hanging from the ceiling, watching Kelly work. Not sure if she's noticed the vigilante yet. Some crewmembers have noticed but aren't saying anything (one is trying to hold in a laugh). Andi lowers herself just a bit more and pokes Kelly in the back. "So wha'cha working on?" She speaks up, finally breaking the silence.
It's a shame that Kelly's spatial awareness isn't the best (mostly because she has had to learn not to turn everytime someone passes her station because that's a lot of movement), leaving her completely unaware of the troublemaker she should be more aware of. And it's an even bigger shame that she has her earpieces in, listening to music that helps drown out any noise--or muffled snickers.
But the biggest shame of all? It's that, after being poked, she screams and nearly scrambles over her terminal when she looks over her shoulder to find a certain teenager hanging upside down.
From the fucking ceiling.
She finds herself looking between the face of the newest troublemaker on the Normandy and the ceiling she's somehow dangling from.
Her fright keeps her nearly melding into her terminal, but it wears off enough for Kelly to poke Andi's forehead with just the right amount of force to get her to swing once.
I haven't played ME:A yet so my question might make zero sense, but what if the story of "The Shepard" is being told to the descendants of those who went to Andromeda?
Because the kiddo and their grandpa are speaking as if there hasn't been much of an interaction with other species which, considering how the war was won, doesn't make much sense because everyone would be kinda sort friends now?
Then again, I have no idea how much into the future that lil snippet is so.
Thoughts?

âA crunch you make yourself almost always has the perfect amount of crunch on the first try,â is her reasoning, paired with a shrug. Disappointed at the obvious lack of cookie dough chunks in her future, she pouts. As much as she dislikes it, being kicked out for pulling off something like that made perfect sense.
An idea crops up, and sheâs straightening up, blinking at Jessie with wide, hopeful eyes. âSoâŚshave ice tasting date, but with all the flavorings?âÂ
Her head tilts, a thoughtful expression on her face. She had never really thought about that idea. Mainly becauseâŚÂ âItâs liable to be expensive but I canât see why not. So long as we stay under a set amount per and go in Dutch, then itâs a date,â she admits. Sampling, of course, was far easier with a full liquid or ice cream. But she could find nothing wrong with the idea.Â
âThe question is, can you handle all that ice and kine?â Along with the other question of whether they could convince the proprietor to allow them to do it.Â
"Oh, yay!" Her hands twitch, but only because Kelly managed, at the last moment, not to throw her hands up in the air with unrestrained glee. "I have an entertainment and food budget that's been largely untouched for a while."
"Maybe, if I know what a kine is."

yeomandrâ:
Her smile is brief, a mere twitch of her lips as she stares straight ahead. The âmy earliest memory is the fact Iâm a fully grown adult but remember nothing of my life before waking up one morningâ case, despite how terrifying it is to imagine, is highly plausible and one that would have undoubtedly brought some chaos. But it is something she finds herself unwilling to put more thought into.
âItâd be worrying if you didnât.â Kelly murmurs wryly, doling out both her professional and personal opinion. Despite there being no reported cases of resurrections outside of the holy book, Kelly points out, âyou donât die and come back to life the way you did without realizing that something isnât right.â
âI think weâd be woefully unprepared for the reapers,â she answers honestly, somberly. âDoubt weâd even have a fighting chance; doubt weâd even have met or that youâd have even met Jack.â Another brief smile as she blinks at Shane. âAkuze, for you, was the starting point for a series of really unfortunate events.â A small frown mars her face as she reconsiders her words. âBut with the unfortunate events, there have been fortunate onesâfirst human Spectre, defeating the Collectors, making TIMâs life miserableâŚâÂ
âI dunno, I think if it wasnât me it wouldâve been somebody else learning about the Reapers. I mean, it was sheer happenstance any of it happened to me. It couldâve easily happened to Kaidan,â she muses aloud, her voice softening at the mention of the deceased Marine from the SR-1 days.Â
An evil little smirk crosses her face then. âImagine, âDr.â Miranda âFrankensteinâ having to deal with Ash, though. She thinks Iâm hard to deal with,â Shane chuckles. It was good natured and not a slight against Ash, really. It was just well known Ash stuck to rules and regs far more often than Shane did. And was Alliance born and bred which was the whole reason Ash wouldnât leave her post on Horizon. Shane may hate Cerberus based on Akuze (and Jack, canât forget Jack), but Ash hated them twice fold and now, of course, threefold given certain revelations.
âFor every cloud, a silver lining,â Shane quotes mildly, brow quirking slightly. âWhich honestly, I never understood that fuckinâ line cause the lining isnât really silver, is it? Not on Earth anyway. Or at least I never saw any silver. But, yâknow⌠whichever.âÂ
Someone else might have, yeah, but what if someone else decided not to chase after Saren with the Council's initial inaction? What if someone else decide to dismiss all they had seen and all their efforts because it'd all been swept under the rug? What if someone else decided to just...give up?
Those thoughts never slip past her lips though.
"A combination of your stubbornness tenacity and Anderson backing you up makes you an unstoppable force. I can't imagine, but I am curious to see, what Spectre Williams would do with both you and the Admiral backing her up."
Kelly blinks before bursting into a giggle fit. "I'm pretty sure there aren't any silver linings at all. But we should ask Garrus if Palaven's clouds have any."
Emerald eyes blink open slowly, turning to look up at Kelly with obvious confusion at first, disoriented enough between being woken from her sleep and her memories not lining up with the reality of her being two years behind the rest of the galaxy that she doesnât think anything unusual of it as she sighs wearily, letting her eyes fall closed once more.
âMm, no,â she mumbles in weak protest, as she usually would when sheâd fall asleep on the other woman while they were watching vids. Though a moment later sheâs adding, âWe need to move to bed. Shore leaveâs not over yet - you donât have to goâŚâ
Isabela's protest, soft and just a touch whiney, takes Kelly back--back to times when Kelly insisted on calling her Isabela and never Izzy, because Isabela reminded her of royalty; except now it's almost always a professionally detached Commander or Shepard. They are memories, though, that have her smiling softly against her will with the small grace that Isabela's eyes are shut by the time she does so.
The fond feeling quickly fades when Isabela's words, and Kelly is left befuddled. We--Kelly and Isabela, Isabela and Kelly--was an entity that hadn't existed for a while. Their last movie night and the last time they shared a bed were things that happened just as far back.
There hasn't been a we in years, and Isabela's drunk mumblings are a neon sign of potential trouble.
She's loathe to do so, but she withdraws her hand, tucks it under her thigh so she's not tempted to touch again. She's unsure of what to do; every possible scenario she thinks up ends with Isabela becoming even more withdrawn, which...fair, even though Kelly is hurt. Cerberus and the Alliance were far from friends. Cerberus and Isabela Shepard on the other hand...
Yeah.
"Sure," she settles with. All she has to do is get the woman up--maybe as far as the bed--and then run sneak out. "But you gotta get up, or else your neck might hurt." God knows hers already did.
yeomandrâ:
âYeah, theyâre quite noisy, arenât they?â She asked in turn, gently bumping her shoulder against Gunnyâs with a snicker.
Unfortunately, the noise was something they couldnât get away from. The chaos had been stewing for weeks, and it was going to last for many more months, but that isnât something she wants to reveal or even discuss with the kid. Not so soon anyway.
âYou get used to it after a while, kinda like white noise.â
Humor immediately gave way to concern the moment she spied the hand venturing towards the cast. âAny pain? Or just itchiness?â
âGuess Iâm lucky being able to turn off the noise, then.â She tabbed the side that wasnât gifted with hearing aids, giving Felicia a brave little smile. Gunny tried to make fun of it to keep the memories of being unable to hear the nearing danger in time at bay.
âJust itching⌠I still feel like I havenât seen a shower in months.â The teenager let out a frustrated sigh, crossing the arms over her knees as she sat down on one of the nearby crates.
Acting very much like the adult she allegedly was, Felicia stuck her tongue out and scrunched her nose at the teenager. A second later though, her expression turns pensive as she stares around the bay, taking note of the many, many wandering bodies. "I bet that's useful when the snoring symphony happens."
"Sweetheart, if you get any cleaner, I might have to isolate you."
yeomandrâ:
âIâd say youâre ridiculous and in need of better pick-up lines,â Kelly retorted immediately, playfully smacking Frankâs hands away. So fussy, this one! While she tucked the blanket around her form to her own satisfaction, Kelly shook her head at the suggestion. Mother hen.
âNo, no need for that.â Dr. Michel, like nearly every physician on the Citadel, was likely busy with the influx of wounded soldiers and refugees, and ill Citadel residents. Kelly wasnât going to have to call the woman out for a home visit for what might not be serious. âNot now, at least.â Sheâd wait, see how she felt after her nap, then let Mr. Fussy do as he wished.
Frankâs concern, a bit out of proportion for Kelly, reminded her of the plague on Omega only a year beforeâa far cry from the worst-case scenario sheâd actually been thinking about. âOr,â she stressed with a small assuring smile, âit could just be a cold. A sneeze here, a sniffle there⌠Throw in a cough or two for varietyâeasily taken care of.â
âLetâs hope youâre right then.â Frank got back on his feet after checking her forehead one last time. Was he really overprotective? Maybe. But heâd lost too much to not become skeptical when things had been going well for too long, even if it were just a cold in the end.
If it's any consolation, I'm hardly ever wrong. At least, where my health is concerned. So go," she insisted, pushing Frank--and his hand--as he got up. "Go be a friendly neighborhood C-Sec officer or something. Mama needs her feel-better sleep." With a final sniffle, she rolled over and pulled the blanket over her head in attempt at blocking out most of the light and dismissing him.
"And don't let me catch you hovering."

spectrewolfâ:
Sheâs nodding a little, mainly in thought more than actual understanding of the answer. She figured that would be the case. She had known cloning was possible. She had also known it was illegal at the level that had been done exactly so everyone could dodge the tricky questions of not only morality but psychology.Â
âPretty sure the mental state was probably my earliest memory is the fact Iâm a fully grown adult but remember nothing of my life before waking up one morning,â she remarks, laughter in her voice but it doesnât reach her facial features.
âIâll admit, I spent a very long time durinâ the Collector shit worried that I was the clone, or some really good android,â she says after a long pause, letting everything just kind of hang in the air there for a bit. Questions that no longer really needed to be asked at this stage and yet, for a wolf of the alliance she was like the proverbial cat sometimes. Things she would have admitted earlier if she had not been so opposed to her head being shrunk.Â
The questions Miranda had insisted were necessary had almost felt like it was checking to make sure some memory imprint had gone well, rather than a test of memory itself. To say nothing of sometimes waking up and believing for a few precious seconds that everything had just been one giant nightmare. That she was in fact still on the SR-1. Had never died, never lost the Normandy or her crew. And the greatest news of all: the Reapers had not appeared and taken Earth hostage.Â
âSometimes wonder how things would be if Iâd never been on Akuze,â sheâs mainly thinking aloud. That would have been the biggest change on her personality, she believes. Akuze was that turning point. She had been shattered like a porcelain vase and then glued back together. And boy did the cracks still show just fine.Â
Her smile is brief, a mere twitch of her lips as she stares straight ahead. The 'my earliest memory is the fact Iâm a fully grown adult but remember nothing of my life before waking up one morning' case, despite how terrifying it is to imagine, is highly plausible and one that would have undoubtedly brought some chaos.
