“in the past women didn’t get education” VS “in the past, men stopped women from getting education and excluded them from all cultural spheres”.

“muslim women must wear hijab” VS “muslim men force muslim women wear hijab”.

“in this country, abortion is illegal” VS “men in this country made women getting abortion illegal”.

So I wanted to say you’re all being ridiculous. You consume media all the time by actual rapists. You watch movies with actors who have killed people. You read books written by racists and homophobes. All. The. Time. And it is so unimportant to you that half the time, you don’t even know.

This business with JK Rowling is a witch hunt. She follows a different kind of feminism than you do. And sometimes she’s a little rude about it. (But we don’t tone police here.) She has never put hands on anyone. She has started charities with her own money. And she is an outspoken advocate for women experiencing domestic violence.

She has expressed acceptance for LGBT people, yes including trans people. She just does not believe a person can genuinely change their sex, that some ‘inclusive’ terminology dehumanizes women and that sex segregated spaces are necessary to protect women.

There is a reason that JKR is being derided the way she is, and it’s not because she’s the worst person in the world. And if you step back, if you read her words, you’ll see why.

School shootings. Incel culture. Autogynephilia. Paedophilia. Invading women's spaces. Making perverted art of children's cartoon characters. Incest fantasies. Why do I keep seeing highly functioning autistic men involved with these things? Why can't we discuss these issues?

Maybe it's because...no, I shan't say it...

because they're male? That's probably it.

Whatever. I'll continue to call high functioning males what they are, a menace.

What truly superior creature, is so upset by the words of something supposedly so much weaker than itself? Why do they have to prove themselves to us so much, if they're truly so confident in their superiority and strength?

Anger is fear. Period. Something only angers you if it upsets you, and something can only upset you if it affects you. Any time a man tries to talk tough, he instantly looks weaker, proving that he felt threatened enough to pipe up.

The need to appear strong is proof of weakness.

Because why would you need to insult, degrade, or threaten something if it were truly weaker than you? If you saw a man screaming at ants on a sidewalk about how much stronger he was than them, would you think that man strong, or hysterical and out of his mind?

--and it's the same thing in the degrading, sexually charged insults men hysterically spit at women any time they're upset. If we're so weak, so inferior, if we're truly just whores/sluts/holes/bitches/whatever, then why the hell do they even care? Why are they even bothered?

I know I'm physically and mentally more developed than, for example, a fish. or a cat. or whatever. I have never felt the need to prove this. It is fact. I have never once questioned whether I am more sapient or strong than one of these small animals.

So, imagine how hysterical, how emotional I would have to be, to begin ranting at say, a fish, about how superior I am to it. Imagine seeing a human leaning over the water and cussing out a fish about how superior humans are, and how much stronger and better than we are than fish.

That person would look insane, deeply insecure, and not at all like the calm, logical, superior being they claim to be.

This is the reality of sexism: it does not matter if a man, individually, is a good or bad man. All men benefit from women being oppressed.

A few sexist men refusing to hire women still means more jobs for men--even if none of those hired men are sexist themselves.

A few violent men scaring women off the streets or out of certain scenes means those places still become male dominated--even if most of the men in those places aren't violent.

A few sexist men denying women financial freedom still means that all men end up holding more societal and financial power.

Women in comfortable shoes. 

Women making their own money. 

Women making their own decisions.
