“YEAH WELL EVERYONE ELSE is rather boring, too stuck in their good ways.”

“Yeah, that’s true, people should really try to have more fun, loosen up a little.”

“YEAH YOU COULD SAY that again.” Dinah said as she took another drink of the liquid in her cup. “What’s new with you? Anything exciting going on?” She needed the distraction.

“Nothing much, haven’t killed someone in a while though” Sara shrugged, though she hadn’t really gone out as the Canary in a while either.

“WILL YOU THOUGH?” Dinah knows how stubborn Sara is when she’s made up her mind.

“Probably not, but I’m okay with letting you think that” Sara shrugged.

“WELL THE OFFER is always there if you need it.”

“I’ll think about it, maybe” she didn’t like borrowing things from people, least of all money and definitely not from her sister.

“THE CHARITY BALL was just … a lot.” Dinah starts out with a sigh as she sips at the drink. It was nice to feel normal and catch up like this with each other. “Oliver’s best friend kissed him. He didn’t kiss back, but I guess they have a history together. We’re okay I think, but I can’t believe I’m just now finding out they were involved in the past.” 

“Sounds complicated” was her only response as she took another drink from her coffee, she didn’t know what else to say, relationships weren’t exactly her forte, so she was definitely the last person who should comment on something like that.

“INTERESTING, but alas, I’ll help you get your hands on some money.”

“See, this is why we’re friends, not many people would help me rob a place without asking questions, or rob a place at all.”

“WHY NOT? What do you need the money for? Not that I care, but it must not be good if you don’t want to ask your sister for help.”

“I just need money, I’m not really planning on spending it on something in particular. I don’t ask my sister for help because she’s my sister.”

“HEY, I HOPE YOU’RE HAVING a better week than I am.” Dinah says with a small chuckle as she pushes some of her hair out from her vision. She leans back in her seat, pulling the coffee cup up to her lips and taking a sip of the hot liquid. A lot has happened, and normal as this felt, it still sat in the back of her mind.

“Hm, I doubt that. Why, what’s wrong?” Sara asked taking a sip of her own coffee. She hadn’t seen her sister in a while, and with their crazy lives it was nice to do something as normal as getting coffee and catching up.

“HOW MUCH MONEY do you need? Maybe I can help you.”

“Yeah, no. I’m not borrowing money from my sister.”

“Yeah, I am not interested in helping you expand your wardrobe.” He shakes his head. “Get a fake ID, fake social security card. In the circles you run in, it should be easy.”

“I was joking about the money, I don’t borrow money from people. And my wardrobe consist mostly of whatever I steal from Dinah” Sara shrugged, most of her own clothes either had holes, blood stains or both. “I don’t need a fake ID, I took care of the whole legally dead thing. Also, the circles I run in? I only know like two criminals as far as I know.”

“And what do you need the money for?” Bruce asks, rubbing his face, his tone indicated he was irritated. “You need a job, is what you need.” He purses his lips. “And yes hold a place up while maniacs are on the loose so they can arrest you and blame all the city’s problems on you.” He rolls his eyes.

“I don’t know, clothes mostly” Sara shrugged ignoring his obvious irritation. “I would, but that’s easier said than done when I’ve been legally dead for almost eight years” finding a job wasn’t exactly easy. “It’s only a problem if you get arrested.”

Bruce rolls his eyes. “Do you need money or were you just being funny?” It was hard to tell. “You? Bored? Kicking ass and taking names not all it’s cracked up to be?”

“Both, I actually need money, so far my options are robbing a place or asking my sister for money, though the last one is definitely not happening” Sara shrugged, she really should get a job. “Well, I’m trying not to kill anyone and I found that’s easier if take a few breaks from the whole fighting things every once in a while.”

“YOUR SISTER sounds like the type who’d give it to you if you ask, but what’s the fun in that?”

“Yeah, she probably would, but like you said it wouldn’t be fun, and I don’t think my pride could survive asking Dinah for help.”

“YET? What are you planning to rob one?”

“No? Well... not a bank anyway, maybe something else, kinda need the money so we’ll see.”

“Thanks for that thrilling life update,” Bruce says dryly, finally bringing the coffee to his lips, taking a deep sip, heaving a large sigh, before he finally looks up at Sara Lance. “Can I help you with something?”

“You’re welcome” Sara replied with a grin. “Unless you want to borrow me a hundred bucks I doubt it, I’m just bored” the blonde shrugged.

“Whoever had the idea that work should be done before 12 p.m. should be strung up by their toes,” Bruce said as he heaved what could only be explained as an old-man-groan as he plopped into a chair. He stared at his little espresso cup as if staring would introduce the caffeine into his system.

“By 12 pm I’ve already been up for six hours or more” not that she really slept all that much, a few hours here and there, and she mostly slept during the day as she was busy at night. “Also I’m pretty sure the coffee isn’t going to work much if you just stare at it.”
