Don't worry, guys. The time until Season 4 will fly by. It's only about 700 sleeps, or roughly 30 Advent calendars, or 7 measuring tapes until the next season…..
The season is over
After the episode, this image is more fucked up than ever

Thomas Pitt…. Larry Slater….. (RIP Larry)
I love Armand's Lestat-fan fic. I think he wrote bodice-ripper under the pseudonym Johanna Lindsey and Catherine Coulter (and much more…) in the 80s.
Lestat refers to *Interview with the Vampire* as a bodice-ripper and says in *Big Bad Wolf*, "I’m not Vampire Fabio..." And I even made jokes about Armand’s fanfic version in S2 EP3... featuring Fabio Lanzoni on the cover of a bodice-ripper...

In less than a week, *The Vampire Lestat* has reached number nine on the streaming service Magenta TV.
I think this has to do with more than just the current attempts to kill Lestat. I think that phrase is going to come back to haunt us later...
We are all familiar with the numerous mirrored shots and scenes in *TVL*. Various theories have sprung up here and there regarding what this might signify. I’m not at all sure yet where this is heading... but I did notice that, for instance, in the scene with Louis, Lestat, and the lawyer, there are pictures hanging on the walls that feature varying degrees of reflection. It is striking that Christin and Lemuel are consistently shown positioned beneath a picture that contains a reflection—and, for the most part, the non-mirrored portion of the image above them remains out of view.
The camera pan over to Lestat places him in a position where the image features, on the one hand, a reflection that is not very strong and, on the other, no reflection at all.
while the camera pans to Louis, showing him in the highly reflective image. In addition, the extent of the adjustment on Louis's side is limited to the extent of the mirroring.
What if you watch the scene again, focusing largely on the details—except for the wide shot. Lestat = full image; Louis = mostly limited to the reflection of the image.
It might be a bit of a stretch... but in the last picture, the bit between Lemuel and Louis reminds me of our opening sequence from Seasons 1 and 2.
As I said, I don't know where this is heading yet, and I'm going to brainstorm with myself for a bit first...

For anyone interested in hearing our guys dubbed, here is the German trailer. It always makes me giggle because it sounds so weird to me. I'm determined to watch the dubbed version at least once; whenever I try with *Interview with the Vampire*, I only last about five minutes before I get annoyed. But I'm also curious about the choices made regarding translation and pronunciation. Anyway, I think using „Big Bad Wolf" for the trailer was a great choice. I'd be curious to know what you all think.
And please leave a like on the Kino Check trailer on YouTube. The German fandom needs some support; they need to see that we love it. ❣️
Edit: I’ve now watched the dubbed episodes. Among other factors, I believe a major reason why *IWTV*—and subsequently *TVL*—hasn't succeeded in Germany lies in the translation, the dubbed dialogue, and the direction of the dubbing. I hardly know where to begin. For one thing, a lot of it is simply translated incorrectly or fails to capture the intended meaning; it essentially distorts the plot and the significance of what is being said. Furthermore, they decided that Lestat, Louis, Armand, Gabriella, and Regina should speak without accents. Now, one could argue about whether it’s better to omit an accent if it’s poorly executed—but it is part of the story, and without it, you miss the comments and jokes regarding mispronunciations, for instance. Strangely enough, they *did* decide to give Nikki an accent. So, you have a whole crowd of people in Paris, and only one of them speaks with an accent? 🤷♀️ As for the voice actors themselves: I know what our cast is capable of; I’m absolutely captivated by their work. I used to think that facial expressions and body language would be enough to carry a scene, even with a bad dub. But the problem isn't just that the dubbing isn't good; the delivery actually works *against* the actors' facial expressions and gestures. Lestat might be bursting into tears, screaming, and in the depths of despair, yet the voice and intonation work against that emotion. I don't know if I'm making myself clear... All the despair, calm, irony, grief, protectiveness, and anger that Sam, Jacob, and Nicolas infuse into their speech and intonation are simply missing. It’s like playing a video on mute while playing something completely different alongside it. The combination of flawed, uninformed translation, missing accents, and poor delivery, pronunciation, and translation leaves viewers confused—they simply can't grasp the plot. I think anyone with zero background knowledge would really just think, "What is this bullshit?" It’s just a rapid-fire succession of images and disjointed text sequences. I didn’t think I could possibly respect our cast any more than I already do for their work... but my goodness! What they achieve is superhuman.
