Gabi was stranded on a lonely planet for a long time, not because he arrived in a round ship when he was a baby like Goku, (since he was born after the destruction of the planet Vegita and was conceived outside the planet) but because his parents abandoned him when he was able to survive by himself.

Vegeta and Gabi are trans men in this story, so when Vegeta recruits him, he begins to empathize with him because he is trans too.

It was never his intention to help Gabi out of kindness, but he does, because he suffers a lot of dysphoria and knows what it is like the constant misgender so he helps hide that Gabi is trans for the Friezas Army.

Gabi gets bored easily, so he loves found rare books wherever he sneaks off Frieza's ship. Usually the one who receives all the information Gabi gets, is Vegeta.

Sometimes it's useful knowledge about civilizations they have to destabilize, and sometimes it's random shit that Vegeta doesn't care about, but knows how much Gabi is excited about and pretends listen to him.
