Then, I'll try to answer the best I can and sorry if some things aren't exposed very well, English is not my first language

When it comes to drawing characters I like to think that I try to make Anatomy simper and while exaggerating certain shapes to comunicate the character personality, using the common principles of shape language (To make some examples: round for Friendly and/or adaptable, Square for grounded, Triangles for someone dynamic).

I also have a really fun time in this process With the other characters in mind if there are any, they can be very coese or not on purpose.

I work with Clothes and Colors on a similar principal but with some notes. First of all I like trying different outfits on a character if I think It matches their specific personality or aesthetic I have for the illustration, so I try to design like One main outfit to use most of the times and the other as an extra bonus ✨

I like to assign Colors to characters (I think It's really neat) but It can be really nice to have some kind scheme (in your mind or written on paper) when coloring on that Canvas so even if it's not perfect It gives me somewhat a grasp on the colors.

Also even if I Mostly post works in Digital if can't visualize something well part of the process becomes Sketching and planning on paper:

Also that May sound really obvious and stupid but immediatly After I finish the sketch I decide if I want the final result to have or not the Lineart. It is easier to fill in the Lineart but without It as I color It makes me think in layers. Honestly drawing is a very subjective experienced and It truly depends on the look you want to achieve but I finish my process thinking about Shadows and Lights as in folds and volumes.

By the way the song "She's an Angel" by They Might be Giants has been scratching in my head and I feel it truly is Elijah Baley about Daneel and Gladia. Picture this between "Robots of Dawn" and "Robots and Empire"

After doing Marcille&Falin and Mithrun&Kabru, while they are less of a duo and especially Yaad appears very little in the story, I still wanted to draw Thistle with a Human friend to accompany him

I struggle with this Canvas because I was never Happy with how the sketch looked, and I wanted to make something deeply simbolic but wasn't really in the mind for it :/

So honestly I just went for a what if. What if Thistle never got manipulated and got to be a Little Happy?

I dunno Thistle is one of those characters that makes me pretty sad but also makes my go "Tiny 🫵", no one can make me despise him
