Geeked up ion wanna go under
as Black people: we should never hate being Black more than hating the racism we face. the hate we have for racism existing in this world is what we shouldn't stand. we shouldn't be begging to be any race but Black. we shouldn't wish we could be pale skinned, have straight hairtstyles, bright blue or light green eyes, and thin lips. we shouldn't ever see ourselves and wish we were never born Black. we shouldn't give in to what racists want us to think.
the minute we hate what we are, we're letting them win. we can't have that. we can't go on our days constantly thinking "would life be better if i was white?". we can't keep going on thinking our non Black friends may secretly be talking bad about us behind our backs in chatrooms we aren't in. in spaces we aren't in. we can't keep wondering if our non Black friends truly mean it when they say they do care about us and we shouldn't have to dread thinking if we tell our non Black friends they said/wrote/drew something racist, they may just go on a whole tangent how awful of a person they are or how they gotta make excuses "i got Black friends who find it fine".
we shouldn't keep worrying if anyone else Black isn't secretly a Black traitor who sides with racists. we shouldn't have to constantly say "not all Black folk are kin folk".
again,,, we should not be hating ourselves. we shouldn't hate being Black. we should hate racism more. and we shouldn't be told to ignore it or forgive those who never gave us a reason to. we shouldn't be told what we hate doesn't matter or is "fandom discourse/internet drama". and it needs to stop being tagged as such.
