5 years! I’ve spent 5 years working for @universalorlando and it’s been the best 5 years I could’ve ever asked for. I met my best friends here, I spent nights with some of my favorite people closing down my favorite store ever during my favorite event ever, and I’ve worked for a company that has made me LOVE working for them. Even during one of the hardest years we’ve all faced, UO really stepped up and I’m lucky that I was never without a job or income during this pandemic. I’ve been able to progress in my career field of choice, I’ve been able to better my skills, and I’ve created things I am so proud of. This company has given me more than I ever expected when I accepted that seasonal position 5 years ago. If you would’ve told me that nearly 5 years ago (5 years Sept. 2nd!!) that I’d be creating desserts for my favorite Halloween event ever, I wouldn’t have believed you. But I am. And I fucking. Did. One year ago I eloped with the love of my life. I’ve contemplated and deleted this caption a million and one times. It’s hard to express myself in such a small space when my thoughts could fill an entire shelf if necessary. You are the only person I ever want to fall asleep next to and wake up next to. You’re the only person who has never once let me just throw a tantrum and get over it, I know one day I’ll be grateful for the patience you show me in those moments. I grew up with a certain idea of love; that it would one day come to me and would be grand gestures and my home would constantly be filled with roses, whilst poems would always be tucked under my pillowcase.
