ROMEO.. art-related question.. do you prefer using a screen tablet or a normal tablet?

HAI OMEN im actually very interested in this topic i've been a pen tablet defender my entire life specially ever since i got an ipad like 6 years ago and realized that i quite hate drawing on it...but my views have changed a little now that i have a different screen tablet..

i think pentabs are theee best overall, but i saw this post on twitter about how they're better for posture and thats not true at all LOL. and if you get a tiny one it's not gonna be great for your wrist either #beenthere.

but medium sized ones are super comfy imo and super fast to get used to too. i can put my keyboard in front and have easy access to every shortcut. and i just personally like drawing on them better! i've used a second hand intuos pro M for the longest time (and an S before that) and it's Awesome. one of my favorites Ever

i do use a cintiq now for almost everything i do though im working on an animated short + its artbook so having the double screen is crazy useful..i have a ton of references, the script, storyboard etc on my monitor and draw on my cintiq, and i've been really enjoying it...and it helps me go faster!! i've been using it like this person shows (we have the same tablet+stand) and i still have back and wrist pain from how many hours im sitting down per day haha (im kind of in hell rn) but it was the same with the pentab really. and this one's bigger so it's easier for me to draw with my elbow instead of my wrist so that's a win. i've heard people say screentabs get really hot, but i havent used mine in the summer yet...i know the hot spot of mine is at the top center and my hand is never drawing there so im hoping it wont be an issue.

this cintiq pro 22 i have was a gift i got during wacom sales (free stand) but it's crazy expensive. like 3 times the price of any other brand. i've never used any other brand and wacom has never given me any issues + i love the feeling of their tablets so im happy having a couple of their things...but my friends use xppen and huion and theyre just as happy with their tablets soo i know this is just me being picky

SO at the end of the day the pentab is The Best to move around with your laptop and bring it anywhere, and i really prefer the feeling of drawing with it!! i dont really know why, i just like it more i feel like i draw better. but i use a screen tablet mostly now since that's my desk setup for my thesis film and it helps me go faster :-) i've gotten quite used to it too so im not a hater anymore!! sorry this got insanely long im using these things for like 10 hours a day so i think about it a lottt. i guess my preference depends on what im gonna be doing...but overall i think screenless tablets are the most comfortable for me #yuppp

#i dont think i'd be able to use a screentab without an arm though...i HATE the angle they get at with the little legs they always include #that's keyboard angle. not drawing angle.#umm sorry again that this is so long i know it was just a one or the other queston but i do enjoy both now!
