I still can't get over the fact that next year I'll be 20. It's a strange feeling. It's like 18 isn't such a big deal, 19 feels like a bad joke, and 20 feels like a death sentence.

I'm from Russia, and I don't understand how my nationality affects the quality of my art.

I've been drawing for 10 years, seven of which have been on social media. I started a Tumblr in 2021, and since then I've been blogging in English, not because I want to hide, confuse you, or show off, but because I want to. I want to have a diverse audience.

This year, I've received quite a few requests and offers for commissions, but everyone who wanted them immediately backed out as soon as they found out I was from Russia.

(Only one person wasn't deterred, but I couldn't draw anything for him, for which I sincerely apologize.)

Does this bother me? Partially. Mostly, I'm indignant about it, but I'm not angry.

What am I going to do? Nothing. I won't accept commissions or requests. Only from people I've already worked with.

Besides feelings, I'm also bad at following trends.

I'm not good at talking about my feelings for long and often (unless I'm really overwhelmed) and it's even harder to write about it openly to strangers.
