i love this shot so much like fuck how on earth did anyone think this was a normal thing to make. the partially open tardis door where it's dark outside and the doctor isn't looking at the camera so it reads like the doctor doesn't know the camera is there. we are spying on him. we are peeping toms. he's in a really weird pose too. i genuinely can't get over this i feel like i'm interrupting something. who okayed this
when i was a kid i had moments of being so fucking diabolical because i realized at some point the best way to leverage power over my family was to do shit that would make everybody late
our house was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by woods so when i decided i didnt want to wear dresses anymore if we were going to some event & my parents insisted i had to wear a dress i would just go hide in the woods. was so committed i almost made us miss a flight once bc my mom packed a dress in my suitcase
i only promised to stop doing this if my parents got me formal boys clothes to wear which eventually they did. i don't feel bad about resorting to violence bc i asked politely and they said no. proud of 10 yr old me for evil annoying lesbian behavior
5th grade was the last time I wore a dress for school pictures. When my parents attempted to force the issue for 6th grade, I climbed onto our roof and pulled the ladder up after me. My dad borrowed the neighbors ladder. As soon as it touched the roof I pulled it up too. By the time I had 3 ladders they were willing to negotiate, and 2 hours late for work.

I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesn’t work. it’s never worked. it’s notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it people’s works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.
the only thing AI checker does is harm genuine artists and people in general too.
battling once again with the endless indecision over the specifics of Nerua’s colours. I have had this ygo oc since like 2012 and while the general colour vibe I have in mind for her hasn’t shifted I’ve just never been able to actually nail down the exact colours and placement lmao.
So the thing you have to understand about doctor who the movie 1996 is that it isn't good. But it is the best film ever made. It has little to no outstanding qualities as a narrative and is such a wild read of doctor who that if you replaced a few proper nouns throughout it would just be a regular bad sci-fi movie. The fact the series survived it is the reason i'm not worried about canon or the shows future in the slightest. The pitch for it consists of some of the most insane lore retcons i've ever seen in my life, and the only major one to make it into the movie is generally considered so out of left field that people refuse to acknowledge it to this day. Literally nothing matters. The master is goo and also a lizard, seven gets gunned down in the street, paul mcgann is the first doctor to canonically get bitches. There's a motorcycle chase. Bad 90s cgi. the regeneration is a frankenstein reference. its camp. eight has his dogs out. it is somehow more american than you would expect. it features by far the best rendition of the main theme in the shows history. Who fucking cares man. 11/10

The year is 1986. The head of dramas at the BBC thinks Dr Who sucks ass and is eager to put it on ice. Your mission is to appeal to him by creating a devastatingly unlistenable charity single. Your allies? A creative team comprised of people who have never heard a song in their life.
See, the way you make good Doctor Who is you set out a mission statement that you're going to make the show more serious or toned down, and then you accidentally hire the exact wrong people to make that version of the show.
1970 they went "we're going to make Doctor Who a more grounded adult action series" and then they got a hippie with a fetish for psychedelic chromakey to produce it.
1980 they said "we're returning Doctor Who to Real Hard Science" and our new head writer is The Computers Mystic.
1987 they had a mandate to take the show in a lighter more kid-friendly direction, and then brought in a bunch of 20-something comic book nerds who wanted to kill Margaret Thatcher.
Was thinking abt how its funny that they named the Victorian character Victoria and then I remembered that James Robert "Jamie" McCrimmon was a Jacobite, and the word Jacobite traces its roots to Jacobus, which is the Latin variant of the name James
So funny looking back at a lot of my old OCs, and how often a character’s outfit colours end up being variations of predominantly red and blue or red and green lmao. Like it’s so consistent through most of them
