At least at the expense of embarrassment dealt by her unusual actions, the other found amusement and even smiled from what she had done. To Aisha, that was a pretty good achievement from being new. It’s the little things that count, right? He didn’t seem all that happy before they had started to talk either, so making someone a bit happier in this sort of place was a benefit.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Yaiba~!”
A bright smile had appeared on the girl’s face in response; just as bright as the stars that twinkled at night before noticing the offered hand that was expected to be shaken as a polite gesture. With much excitement along with her responding chirp, Aisha reached out to grab the other’s hand shaking it firmly for a few seconds before letting go.
“Anything for someone with great fashion tastes! I never really see any guys wearing heels though which is quite a shame. What got you into wearing them?” Yaiba could set a trend with them, or so she thought. His fashion sense was appealing to her, maybe because she hadn’t seen such a style worn back in Elrios, her homeworld. To think a friendship was budding out of the magic of fashion -how glorious!

He was still off-balance by this place; he’d admit that readily. He’d admit it and accept it even. Because he knew this wasn’t something he could deal with alone. He needed a safe, friendly environment, somewhere to help recover. And a place like that wouldn’t be created if he was alone.
So really, seeing this person act like this was not only nostalgic, but comforting. Selfish, maybe, but comforting.
Ah, so he was right with a hand being how people greet each other. It felt awkward, and the feeling of his hand being shook lingered as he lowered it, but it was fine. It was fine. This was entirely fine.
And for once, it was the truth.
The question was somewhat strange, but it was something he welcomed with ease. A small laugh slipped from him, arms crossing and fingers tapping his biceps. How he got into it?
“I am quite sure I got into it through a friend at first, hence.
It was the style of a band I am-- was in.
I found it comfortable, so I continued to wear it, hence.”
Far from a impressive story; he knew that for sure. But his chest didn’t ache at the mention of Shingan, and he took that as a good sign that it was alright to continue. He tilted his head to the side, ears flicking to mirror the movement, as he took in her own appearance.
“May I direct the question towards you as well?”
“Oh,my name?” She repeats in question with a blank face, before her next actions came clear with the speed akin to lightning as well as her speech for a moment.
“I go by the Fantastic Spectacular Amazing Sparkly Pretty Gorgeous Great Dimension Witch Aisha~!★”
.. Try saying that without any breaths, like Aisha can. It would probably make any average person faint from the lack of oxygen. The mage stands proud for several seconds with one of her hands held on her sides, the other giving a thumbs up to the male as she winked; a signature pose she enjoyed performing in the middle of a street. With people giving her weird looks that she didn’t even take notice of, either.
Eventually calming herself, she stopped her pose leaving one of her hands to continue resting on her sides as she spoke in a more calmer voice,“Or um.. Just Aisha for short, love the heels by the way! What’s your name~?”

Yaiba honestly took a pause, ears flicking straight up and tail stilling at the display. Then a hand curled in front of his mouth, tail swaying lightly as h chuckled lightly. How-- would cute fit it?It was almost nostalgic as well, and it brought a smile to his face.
She could probably be a nice vocalist for sure, with how much she can go without needing to pause for breath. Of course, that was assuming that she was going for a music idol.
Yaiba was going to introduce himself like he usually did, whenever he was with Shingan, but realizing that it would be out of place, he wilted a bit, his ears drooping a bit. The smile became just a tiny bit lonely, though it quickly picked up. He reached out a hand, customary for most greetings-- at least, that’s what he had seen while walking around the city.
“My name is Yaiba, hence.
It is quite nice to meet you, Aisha.”
As for the heels, Yaiba flicked his gaze down to them temporarily, before the smile grew a bit.
“Thank you for the compliment.”
Not many thought highly of the fact that Yaiba wore them, but they were comfortable and they fit the style of Shingan, and he soon couldn’t really imagine going for long without wearing them. Working them into an outfit was also ridiculously easy, once he got an idea of the look.

Oh, the other’s expression was quite frightening, but the only visible sign of unease Yaiba showed was his ears pulling back a bit.
“I am sorry if I bothered you instead.”

The ‘l’ was rolled, the word a bit drawn out, as if testing it. A few moments of contemplation before a smile spread on his lips, ears perking up.
“Is that so, hence?
May I ask your name?”

“Ah--”
Cutting off with a bit of a squeak, Yaiba took another glance at the female across from him. It was easy to summarize his feelings as ‘she’s taller than I thought.’
Of course, her having a tail was just something that he saw as normal, so to him, the only oddity was her possible height.
“I apologize.”
A bit of a stilted apology, but one nonetheless. After all, perhaps he could be mistaken for staring, and since staring was rude, it was best to apologize.
(I’ve been thinking it over a lot recently, and I’ve decided to drop the threads I have at the moment. I apologize to everyone who i was threading with, but Yaiba has become fairly unresponsive with these threads.
So, you can see this as a starter call. Feel free to like it! I’ll get to them as soon as possible, and this will be uncapped.)
“…Fair enough. I must have blocked the memories of my cellphone less days for the sake of my own sanity.” With a sudden bout of sympathy towards the stranger, Shintaro pats his shoulder.
“I understand your pain, my friend. I think there must be one down this road? The Coconut Tree, I think it was the name.”

“It is a disadvantage, hence.”
A nod to the block of memories; some were dedicated to their phones. If they were to lose them, surely they’d be upset. Sadly, Yaiba was fine with losing them, if only because of his more ‘excitable’ bandmates.
“Thank you, hence.
For future reference, may I know your name?
Only if you are comfortable sharing it, hence.”
“Yaiba. That explains the tic, you’re Japanese. So many folks over there got verbal tics, it ain’t even funny. Nice t’meet’cha, tho’.” Though Yaiba’s the only one between them with a tail, doubtless if Snide had one, it’d be wagging. Though he’s hard to read past that lazy, contemplative, piercing expression- not too different from that of a real snake- he’s placid, coiled contentedly where he stands.
“Aw, dude, you ain’t never heard ‘a the Rolling Stones? Ohhh, you’re missing out, mi amigo. I gotta introduce you to them, maybe we’ll have a jam sesh, sound good?” He’s excited to find another rocker, more than anything, so much so that he can’t even be shocked that Yaiba doesn’t know about the only band to have a magazine named after them.
“Oh, you bet. I’m gonna have a family more than a band, I’m hopin’.”

“Is that so?
I must have not noticed then, hence.”
Yaiba was a bit conflicted about his verbal tic being pointed out, but since there didn’t seem to be any sort of mocking attached, perhaps it was alright, for now. Yaiba was giving the other’s guitar another once over,; though plain, it certainly looked well-cared for.
Well, the friendly atmosphere was certainly nice, Yaiba supposed. Comfortable as well. The offer, though, had a smile on Yaiba’s face brighten quite a bit.
“I appreciate the offer.
Hearing other musicians is quite fun after all.
I will also accept the offer of a jam session.”
After all, playing with others could allow Yaiba to learn new things. And hearing other musicians could also help see what sounds were more popular, or could be had as practice, when Yaiba was trying to keep up with his skills.
“That does sound like it will be a Legendary Band, hence.
I wish you luck in finding this family.”
Not gonna pay? Trying to excuse his way out of this? Jail’s eyes twitched something fierce at this lack of backbone. He threw the guy down to the ground, not giving a single regard to the commotion he was creating.
Black energy cracked and thundered from his right hand, this was Jail preparing his ballot power.

When he was thrown to the ground, Yaiba was quite sure he felt a panic more than he ever had. It was obvious the other was angered; far from being kind or accepting anything other than compensation. He felt like he was going to just break, if he were to be honest. He was shaking, really, and already tensed up for being hit or worse.
The black energy around the others hands was definitely a motivator for diplomatic movements though. So, a deep breath to steady himself, and he tried it out. He knew the other requested his name, but he was far from in a confident enough state to give it.
“I cannot repay you at the current time.
I have just been...placed here, and thus have no access to funds, hence.
If you wish, I can work it off in some way.
Or, once I receive a job, I will pay you back double of what the items costed.”
Another breath, trying to get himself calm. It was just like negotiating with Rom...which never happened, but he had to keep calm now. If he panicked, it was far from a good situation.
“You may not trust my words, and with great reason.
However, this is all I can offer.”

“I dunno, a convenience store, maybe?” Shintaro replied quietly without even looking at the other, his eyes instead focused at the cellphone screen before him.
“Who even uses physical maps nowadays? With a cellphone you could download a GPS and guide yourself with it.”

Could you give me some directions to one, hence?”
Well, he got a reply. That was great! Much better than being unanswered and lost. Still, he quirked his head at the second claim.
“I believe they are useful when you cannot access a phone, hence.
Especially if they are limited.”
“….” It was an absolute disaster. All the fragile goods in the bag had made a clear shattering sound.
The grey haired man in blue uniform grabbed the person by the collar and pulled him up close.
“ And you expect apologies to pay for this? “

Almost immediately when the shattering came to his hearing, his ears flattened, tail drooping. Oh dear, he was in a lot of trouble, wasn’t he? When his collar was grabbed, he immediately flinched, eyes closing in preparation to be hit or yelled at. That was what Rom usually did.
But, the voice wasn’t Rom’s. He slowly opened his eyes, shaking slightly, to look at the other.
“N-no, hence.
Y-yet it is all I can offer at the moment.”
If he had the money, the funds, he would gladly repay the other! Give the other money to buy new items. But, he was essentially broke; he realized the need for a job long ago, yet he couldn’t figure out where to start.

(Sorry to everyone who has been waiting for starters! Been exhausted and haven’t had enough energy for Yaiba, but I’ll try them out now! I’ll ask the three who wanted starters to forgive me for their length; I start off short usually, just to let the thread grow at their own pace rather than a sudden paragraph or more. So yeah. Hope you all don’t mind!)
