Ok but KH3 aside, imagine, if you will; every time they cross paths, by chance or whatever, Sora's eyes linger on Lea and just the sight of him would make his chest tight. Half the time he wouldn't even notice, the other half he'd wonder... Was it Roxas? What was their relationship like if he felt the need to stare so long? To walk up to him and do... something. Sora couldn't exactly talk to Roxas and ask. So Sora does what Sora would do and approaches Lea himself, somewhat awkwardly, mostly earnestly, and Lea would get quiet for a second. He'd caught himself staring at Sora, too, but never for very long- they just weren't the same after all. Sora was a reminder in his own right that Roxas was probably happy with where he was... with who he was. Lea might've been jealous of Riku- he figured that out pretty quick, surprisingly (or perhaps not)- for getting his friend back while he had to lose his, but it was good, wasn't it? They could be the same person. So it was fine- he was fine with this. But Lea, at the same time, was still so unfamiliar with the workings of his own heart after just getting it back, and would simply wave Sora's question and all the emotions it brought forward off. "We knew each other in the Organization; we were the closest things to friends you could get, I guess," he'd say. And Sora would hum, and nod, because that lined up with what he said before, in the path between worlds. But his heart was still being squeezed by something other than his own emotions. "Really?" he'd ask, and Lea wouldn't know what to say next, or how. Sora would watch his face, something salty burning at the backs of his eyes, and he'd get a bit self-conscious but his legs wouldn't let him step away. He looks so sad... He stepped forward instead. Lea's own legs stubbornly refused his bid to walk off, so in the end they were both taken in by Sora's hands at his shoulders, pulling the flaming redhead down as the brunet pulled himself up to stand on the very tips of his toes. Anything either of them could've said was lost in the still air between their lips when Sora pressed them into a soft kiss. The tightness in Sora's chest- the pull, the push, the wanting to do something- held itself suspended and Sora couldn't get himself to breathe even when he finally managed to let Lea go five seconds too long later. Sora's face was burning- Lea's magic?- and he sputtered, incoherent with apologies and attempts at explanations. Lea still couldn't find it in him to say anything, too busy thinking about what just happened. Was it Sora? But Riku had that weird thing with him... He stared down at Sora, his fingertips hovering near his mouth as he gaped. If it wasn't a conscious act from Sora, that meant the alternative had to be the truth. The truth being that Roxas... Lea blinked, wide-eyed. "Don't, uh- don't worry about it." he'd mumble, turning away from Sora to hide the look on his face. A laugh escaped him; senseless noise he couldn't control. Was he happy? Upset? His heart refused to help narrow it down. "Really, Sora-" he paused, making sure he said the right name, "- it's okay. Don't worry- we won't tell Riku."
