Creation has endowed it with divine beauty

Its north and south sides dividing dusk and dawn

My chest heaves with rising clouds

My straining eyes follow birds returning home

One day I must climb to the very peak

And see all other mountains in a single glance.

Embracing the Cracks

In the mirror’s gaze, I see

A reflection flawed, yet uniquely me

The cracks and scars, the imperfections too

A topography of experiences, etched anew

I used to strive for perfection’s ideal

A flawless façade, a mask to conceal

But now I see the beauty in the broken

The resilience that’s forged, the wisdom unspoken

In embracing my imperfections, I am free

To be myself, without apology

To let go of the need for control and might

And find solace in the beauty of my imperfect light.

Trapped in Darkness

I was standing alone

Surrounded by darkness

No path ahead

No escape

I was trapped within myself

Walls of shadows closing in

Suffocating silence, a heavy weight within

Every step forward, a step back in fear

A labyrinth of thoughts, with no clear exit here

The battle rages within

A silent fight that decides my way

All alone, I face the test

Only I know the sacrifices I’ve repressed

To chase the dream, I must abide

Uncertainties that cloud my mind

The weight of doubts, the sting of fear

Yet still I push, through the dark of the year

In the mirror, a stranger’s eyes

Reflect the turmoil that I disguise

A mask of courage, a heart of pain

A soul tormented, by the ghosts of my brain

The shadows whisper, “You’re not enough”

The darkness echoes, “You’ll never be rough”

But still I rise, through the ashes of my past

And find the strength, to face the battle at last

Memories of joy, now taunt my mind

A bittersweet reminder, of what I left behind

A heart that’s heavy, with the weight of the chain

The darkness closes in, like a shroud on my skin

The silence screams, with a deafening din

Beside the window, I sit and stare

Lost in emptiness, without a care

No spark ignites, no flame burns bright

A hollow shell, devoid of life’s delight

No aim, no goal, no purpose to pursue

A drifting soul, without a direction true

Living, yet not alive, in body and mind

A prisoner of numbness, left behind

Searching for a reason, a spark to revive

A reason to awaken, to feel alive

To break the chains of emptiness and pain

And find the strength to love, to live again

Amidst the whispers of a fading breeze,

Autumn’s palette paints the trees with vibrant ease.

Golden hues, like memories, cling to the past,

But in the autumn’s transition, I find a beauty hard to fear.
