Wedding Smashers: Ghostbear marries his fiancé Ghostpepper, a Chupacabra yokai. Raph and Mikey crash their wedding dressed as their aliases Shadybug and Dr. Rude.
Dog Dale Afternoon: April finds out that Baba Yaga cursed Dale to be a werewolf, but he doesn't know what's happening to him, Donnie shows up to “help him,” and be his doctor.
Shred Dead Redemption: Screenwriter Sheldon Vella shared the first board of his showing the brothers chasing the cupcake van called Fire and Icing in Turtle Tank. Unfortunately, a piece of cardboard (Donnie's cloaking device) blocking the front windshield causes the Tank to crash gracelessly into a Lou Jitsu poster.
Warren Stone 2: Warren Stone is cut in half again, but this time the lower half of him becomes a different Warren sporting a beard and shaved head. Warren Stone II ends up becoming a competent and dangerous enemy for the turtles. Realizing that Warren is upset, Warren II has taken his title of "The Turtles' Greatest Enemy", April helps Warren regain his charm.
Gourd Almighty: A comedic episode about Donnie trying to grow the world's largest pumpkin for a contest.
T-Hex: It was going to be about Mikey wanting a robotic toy with a "boopable snoot." After getting the toy he turns out to be not as innocent as he seems.
Lost Goat: Draxum leaves after having a fight with the family (Turtles and Splinter). As he does so, he is abducted by the foot. While trying to rescue Draxum, the family has no choice but to resolve their issues regarding him.
Goyles just wants to have fun: Huggin and Muggin are confused when they find Draxum working in a school cafeteria. Draxum asks Leo and Donnie to help improve his image so as not to lose the respect he once had for the Goyles.
Rampaging Raph: Raph comes to Draxum for help after getting trapped in his enormous mystical form. He is ashamed of not having mastered his mystical powers like his brothers. Draxum ends up splitting Raph and his mystical power, which then becomes a problem when the Red Hulk turns red and begins crushing the city, getting stronger with each hit. To save the city, Raph has to confess and ask his brothers for help.
The Island of Dr. Noe: Hunter/dentist Dr. Noe kidnaps Raph and Leo and takes them to his home island. The doctor wants Raph's tooth in his tooth collection.
Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mikey becomes the oldest when his siblings turn into little turtles after being attacked by an immortal mutant jellyfish bank robber. 163.There is a small chance that Such TMNT and Rise exist at the same time. 164.Production ties were a little over a year from premise. About 8 weeks from premise to draft record, about 12 for a storyboard, 8 for final animation, with design happening all the time. 6 months for full animation, music, etc. 165. You always interacted a lot with the design team when writing 166.Here is the board with the episodes of the series (in season 2), although some are jokes 167.Although Netflix supported Rise for the movie, it is not Ron or Russ's decision whether the series will continue or not, but they want it to continue supporting 168. Very lucky of Draxum that not a single mutated victim of his wanted revenge against him, but that would mean he would have to face the consequences of his actions, and the people who woobified him wouldn't want that.
Eh, I think the RotTMNT crew just couldn't be bothered to make their characters have a more varied spectrum of reactions to being mutated by Draxum's Oozesquitoes. Better to just have all the mutants nonsensically go along with Draxum's schemes and bear no grudges against him. Can't blame the RotTMNT crew for not wanting to overcomplicate their story, right? /s
Idk man the way rise makes Splinter still being in love with Big Mama a comedy thing is in the same boat of like. Mikey forgiving Draxum for everything just because he’s family. yess Big Mama it’s okay that you held me captive for years because ily. and it’s like. no??? he’s also very clearly terrified of her. same with his mom leaving. like heyyy actually that was deeply traumatic and he’s allowed to be hurt. we don’t have to forgive people yk. The ancestors told him to sacrifice his kids and he should get to hold that grudge forever. them showing up to defeat Shredder doesn’t change that. or that their values were actively harmful and about suppressing who you are, he was right to walk away from that and build smth new with his family
Splinter still loving Big Mama is fucked up but also understandable. there’s something deeply tragic about that. but let’s not act like it’s a funny thing, that’s his abuser that still has an immense emotional power over him. and it’s interesting for Mikey’s character to want more family so desperately, to be preachy about forgiveness and a bit insensitive. to not understand the nuance as to why Splinter hated Draxum so much. but they just went ohh it’s fine loll forgiveness and love and the /silly and oh the ancestors were actually right all along! and have always been here for you! and it does make me wanna bash my head into a wall. rise has a weird icky thing with forgiveness.
Was so happy that I found a 2 and a half hour long rottmnt analysis video and was having the time of my life watching it until they outright mention like a good 30 minutes in that they draw tcest and were justifying tcest I’m gonna hurl kill me now theyre everywhere

Ideas/things I think are underutilized in rottmnt fanworks:
-Piebald
-Leo’s “lucky rock” (air turtle ep. for reference)
-the fact that Big mama willingly participated in the “doom dome” and maybe even at the Nexus at one point
-Lou Jitsu’s past and relatives
-the multitude of spirits seen in the s2 finale
-mystic trinkets and artifacts (you can never have too many!)
-yokai background characters
-the hidden city seemingly being run by fear (mobsters, power, etc.)
-more hidden cities outside of NY
-Baron Draxum being driven to a villain role only because he sought to protect the yokai race (he isn’t all that evil)
-Leo’s disgust of romance (…at least develop Leo into a romance role…)
-Donnie isn’t averse to EVERYTHING goopy and weird. (Like the yokai pizza he ate w/Leo in “operation: normal” and the Joey pouch he sat in with Leo in “hidden city job”)
-Sunita. look, she clearly has a taste for fashion (the fashion turtle pointed THAT out) and she chose to go into SCIENCE/biology class, out of many options. She would be besties with Donnie.
-those crab brothers
-tmnt iteration crossovers (there isn’t enough out there)
-Donnie (probably) being the medic (y’all are gonna hate me for this. But. I honestly don’t see that much to support medic Leo. it makes an excellent headcanon though! It looks like Donnie designed the entire medbay and patented the suits and whatnot in “down with the sickness”. Also he started spewing medical-talk when unmutated piebald fell out of the fishbowl.
-MAYHEM
-Senor Hueso’s son (Hueso Jr?)
-other Yojimbo/samurai rabbit characters! I’m tired of ONLY seeing usagi. Where’s gen? Chizu? Katsuichi? At least do your research y’all pleassseee. At least read a wiki page because so many usagis I’m seeing are so ooc that he’s just there to be Leo’s love interest. Cmon.
-Big Mama redemption arc??? I still haven’t seen one. She was actually pretty close to redemption towards the finale. We haven’t seen her in the movie, so who knows?
- Rat flu seems to happen yearly, even when they were young since they know how to deal with it so well
- Them not actually really going to the surface in the daytime until Mascot melee (they're amazed during that episode that Raph is the first to walk around in daylight, and being amazed and having no clue what to do when they get into huesos in minotaur maze)
- Their move to a new lair after the finale after their biggest fight and Splinter having his soul sucked out
- Having to discover their ninpo after the final fight and not fully knowing how it works
- Donnie actually being comforted by touch (I'll have to go through all the episodes and make a counter, but I do think Donnie is the one who slings an arm around or leans on his brother's the most)
- That the movie is really only months after the finale not 2 years (something that @octolingkiera pointed out was that the movie was set in 2020, Raph was 17 and born in 2003, and it was 2 years after the start of the show, which it's final episode was most likely set in 2020)
- That they had fought on Big Mamas train and their fight with Draxum in Shredders suit (where Donnie got visibly badly beat up) before many unhappy returns
- Brains and Brawn
- Mikey having little brother privilege (he ain't a saint, he abuses that privilege)
- Splinter being a really good dad (he is, he loves his sons, he's not neglectful)
- The start of the invasion in the bad time line, before they join the humans
- When they join the humans at the start of the invasion and not being trusted right away
- AUs where all four of them were actually raised by Draxum (I personally have never seen this one)
- Using the scrapped storyboards from the episodes that they had planned before the cancellation (I mean, come on! We were meant to get one where Leo and Donnie help Draxum look evil in front of huggin and Mughin while Mikey and Raph try to stop them)
- Raph helping Donnie fix things (In reparin the Baron Raph is the one to semi fix April's fan, idk why she didn't call Donnie, but it seems like Raph knows how to do repairs sometimes too)
- Them actually not being able to eat the Super Creepy Supreme after the invasion (headcanon that Hueso brings it out as their regular order their first day back to celebrate them being alive and all of them freeze when they look at it)
- Consequences after the movie, they take some hard hits, Raph 100% lost his eye, Mikey was mystically drained, Leo was basically shattered, and imo, Donnie was just as bad as Leo (Donnie took the most hits, the train smashing onto his back, the technodrome, and the hit at the end of the movie that literally knocks him and Mikey out)
