Hugging Myself
Do you know what is the best feeling? Or maybe, one of the best feelings you ever felt? For me, it is the feeling of thanking, hugging ourselves.Ā
Iāve just experienced it a while ago. When I was studying for my biology exam, and I can memorise then interpret what I learn like,Ā very well, I thank myself for that. For doing the best, for prioritising what really matter.
Though, I know itās not that healthy, that I just felt it now, that I just thanking myself only when I succeeded, itās not that healthy.Ā
But I remember clearly that it felt so good... to be proud of yourself...
I donāt know. It felt so long ago that Iām genuinely proud of myself. Not being arrogant, not feeling satisfied, but feeling proud. I donāt even know if I ever felt that kind of feeling before. And I want it more... I really want to feel proud and just being good to myself. I mean, who doesnāt? But then, whoās really succeeded to accept themselves?Ā
Eversince I knew the word self-loveĀ and the meaning of it, maybe from my early teenage years, Iāve been encouraging people to do it... But did I do that too? Accepting myself, being proud of myself, do I really do that?
