Someone (Danny McReid) is throwing a certain blonde bestie a not-so surprise Welcome Home party and what’s a party without guests? Sadly we’re no longer in the age of home-written invites so here it is. I’m sure a significant number of you remember all too well the partying and bicardi-ing antics of a certain Miss Rose so tonight is sure to be a reflection of that. After all, we never truly grow up, now do we?

So get yourself down to the McReid lawn and be prepared to smile bright and gush about how glad you are to see her again-- Skye’s that blonde there, dancing on the snacks table.

I’m sure it’ll be a whole load of wholesome, drunken fun and I’m very sure Karen McReid will have her doors firmly locked. After the carnage that was Gregory’s home after that party I hardly blame her.

Take a weekend off. Oh and what’s a party without a few crashers, hm?

Welcome to another one of our fave on-dash mini events! Today’s topic of celebration is Skye Rose returning from California and BFF Danny McReid throwing her a welcome back bash.

Everyone is invited (well, in the sense that we do love crashers. Ruby might have to kick your ass but who’s complaining?) Saying that, as always, your character does not have to attend the party and you can make non-party based threads during this time if you like!

If you do make a post at the party, please indicate this somewhere on it (ie: in the tags)!

We’re gonna kick off things tomorrow! (Friday, 19/02/16).

We’ll make another quick post for about it tomorrow too but don’t worry about it too much timezone-wise. If you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to ask!

Going to the chapel and... They already got married.

That’s right folks, our resident hot and cold, on and off, screaming and fighting and throwing dishes couple Elizabeth Anderson (McCoy) and Leo McCoy have finally buried the hatchet... And gotten hitched. A simple sorry would have probably sufficed but you know there’s just no reason or rhyme to these two.

Love them, hate them, 100% do not understand them what’s done is done.

Marriage may lead to divorce (and I’m sure Mrs Anderson hopes dearly for that to be the case in this case), but for now you’re invited to bask in the Honeymoon period of these two crazy kids! Get drunk enough and you might just start to see the romance in it all... Assuming that this night doesn’t end in tears.

While she might not be smiling ear to ear about it returnee Shelley Pierce has finally put her skills into action (and here was me thinking all that sun and sand had made her complacent) and thrown together a ‘Congrats’ party. So throw on your dancing shoes, stock up on drinks and get ready for one hell of night because while love may be in the air, it’s mad love. L'amour fou.

Bring gifts, bring smiles, bring a pen and paper because you’re probably not going to remember much tomorrow morning.

Oh and uh, important details. With Mrs Anderson away, no doubt clinging to the last of her sanity since she hasn’t heard the news, the party will be taking place at the Anderson household, mostly in the backyard as it’s been dressed to the nines. The night’s hot, the stars are sparkling, the kegs are set.

Just... Don’t break the vase. It was a wedding gift.

OOC INFORMATION:

So I was going to say this is just a lowkey event but I’m sure the last one was Greg’s weekender and that party was wild start to finish... This event is just a wee casual one running from 18/08/15 - 20/08/15. There’s always room for extension mind you, and as it is casual, once you’ve read this post (timezones aside) you can make starters based at the party. As usual though, just indicate somewhere on the starter that that is where your character is.

Oh and while our timeline is very loose, if you do want to mention it, IC this party would be happening on the weekend, not mid-week.

Your character absolutely does not have to come by and wish the happy couple good tidings, you’re free to make starters as normal that aren’t party based.

Have oodles of fun! Effy may even throw her bouquet at some point so keep an eye out...

I can’t say I’m shocked but here it is. A classic Black and White theme. Very classy, very expensive, simple and elegant. Not to mention the bunch of you only have two options to choose from so the chances of you messing this up are slim to none.

Start suiting up, Havensdale. If you’re not dressed to the nines you’re not getting through the door.

Just make sure none of you are wearing the same dress as Miss Montgomery. I’m pretty you’ll be immediately escorted off the premises.

What could possible go wrong?

Now that is a big question.

I’m not entirely sure if there’s something in the water or if the two have finally started listening to the other’s life tips. I mean, let me explain. One one hand you have Cameron Cooper wandering around in flannel, stumbling and complimenting everyone he comes by and then (do hold onto your hats) he asks Juliette out. Yes, Juliette. As in the girl who is currently have her little flirtation with Christian Cooper.

Not only that but I do believe the words Cameron used were ‘do you want to go steady’. Steady. What is this the 1950s?

Let’s move onto Christian though, shall we? Now here is a boy who is finally stepping up. I mean, did you see that steamy makeout session he had with Juliette. I have one words for you folks: hands. Not to mention the word ‘babe’ has actually exited his mouth, more than I’d care to admit was heard. The flannel was nowhere to be seen.

Oh and then there’s Faye. I’m not 100% on what that boy did to piss off our Queen but it must have been something big. Any more out off Cooper’s newly big fat mouth and she may just have to banish him from the kingdom.

I believe you boys need to have a long hard look in the mirror and then you need to hash out some ground rules with eachother.

Honestly. This isn’t even half of their antics.

THIS JUST IN: PARTY AT THE ANDREWS HOUSE

Judging by the screams, breaking glass, and bass so high it’s shaking its way down the whole valley-- this thing is already in full swing. I’ve never taken Corey or Chris as the partying time and who has even seen Alex lately but there’s someone in that house tearing the roof off because it’s on fire-- hypothetically of course.

Either way if you’re looking for a good time you’re probably not going to remember tomorrow? I’d make your way there now before all the kegs are drained and you’re stuck with the cheap non-labelled stuff.

Wear something nice and keep your phone stuck to your side. This might be the first time I don’t actually know what’s going on and I need you to keep me in the loop. And if you won’t-- Jamie, I’ve called on you before. Or are you too much daddy’s little girl to break a few rules?

Needless to say it looks like we have a new Greg Porter in town which is handy considering he’s skipped out on us.

OOC INFORMATION [IMPORTANT]:

Jessica turned off her humanity and she’s been dying for a little fun. So she threw a party in her new home without permission. Let’s face it, the chat chimes are goners. The important thing however is this: Jessica has compelled every human and shifter [anyone who can be compelled] to both forget about anything supernatural they see, hear, experience etc... while at the party. She has also compelled them to be compliant if anyone tries to feed on them. However please still ask the player of the character you’d like your vampire to feed on if it is okay.

Your humans can hear about the supernatural at this party. All the secrets can be let out the bag because they’re not going to remember in the morning. 

So, have as much fun as you can-- just make sure to indicate if your character is at the party. We know this is impromptu so we’ll most likely extend it but for now it’ll run for the rest of the weekend.

Settle down, Daniel. We all knew this day would come eventually. The reign of Sal’s couldn’t go on forever.

So order up your last basket of grease dripping fries and say farewell to questionable refills.

What is happening to the world?

Two ridiculously rich, ridiculously beautiful and ridiculously talented in their chosen specialities people? It wouldn’t be that far of a leap. Then again, I’m pretty sure every hook up Stella Bell ever had during that phase was heavily reported.

I see what your snooping fangirl heart is saying though. “Nate”. Oh, does this mean she knew him before we did? Before he was Nathan Matthews, devastater of hearts everywhere?

Who knows? They both hail from New York. Maybe there’s a story to be told there.

If you manage to find it out maybe send it to somewhere that’ll actually pay you for you time though.

Gia. Her name is Gia and if I was guessing I’d say she’s either a disgruntled guest of the Moore or McArthur family given the yelling about it. Trust me kiddos, if you think you have skeletons in your closet? You should check out your parents’ but those are stories for another day.

I will tell you something she has in common with at least one McArthur though. She didn’t seem to mind being in close proximity to Danny McReid.

We absolutely can talk about that. She was a real angel for the whole affair I must admit. The pink was very Jenny. Now, I know she had Jesse on her arm for most of the night but I am pretty sure that is not who she invited.

Then again, you have to keep up with the times. With Faye out the picture, why not move onto new and exciting things? Who knows? Maybe they pulled a Jasper in the coat closet.

The ‘McMoore’ of it all has really been taken a little too literally.

So that is what they meant by a McMoore wedding. I’m not one to be presumptuous but… Oh come on. Jasper, you dog.

However it’s no secret that guys like Christian Cooper do not end up with the girl and she often leaves for the choice on his left. Having said that, I have at least a smidge of belief in our J. I understand that they’re both technically Chris’ but only one of them is going to stumble over his feet to throw roses at yours. The other is more into new girls. And trees.

I’m sure Juliette will make the smart choice. … 60/40 sure.
