Life’s been so hectic and even more so now. All this quarantining has got me wanting to work on my well being and also be crafty again. With everything going on, I’m still working full time. We transitioned to work from home, which has proven to be so challenging. I feel like I’m working more now and I’m more stressed than I ever was being in the office. I don’t consider myself an “essential worker” even though I work for an essential place... a school. I work in the finance department and I recently got new responsibilities, maybe a month of so before we shut down the school, because my boss left for another job. I’m super grateful that they believed in me to take over some of his responsibilities considering how big of a role he played in the school but boy can it be overwhelming. Every day when I clock out, I make it a mission to walk my two miles. It’s not only for the exercise but also for my own good to disconnect and breathe. Cant do that without playing Tay on repeat and wearing my Meredith shirt or Lover shirt from Target! Lol on the weekends, I like to submerge myself in crafts, although I’m not very good, it’s just fun to make a mess sometimes! But some of my all time favorite crafts have been my Lover/Taylor crafts that make me so happy to look out. If you’ve made it this far, the point is, do something for your well being, weather it be taking a walk, crafting, blasting Taylor Swift 24/7. Take a step back and BREATHE. It’s okay to take time for yourself, it’s okay to take a break. Be creative in what you do, you might just make something great!

My boyfriend finally moved back home after a year in Rhode Island because he got a job back at his old hotel. On his 3 day drive down, he got told he was furloughed, basically unemployed, for at least a month but probably more because the hospitality business is suffering drastically due to the Coronavirus. He has to use his vacation time that he just got to have some money coming in. He was set to stay in the hotel for a few months while we finally looked for a house together. Obviously the house isn’t happening anytime soon and the hotel is only letting him stay for about two weeks. His only choice is to stay on his moms couch because she recently rented out half her house. He has to file for unemployment but he’d really rather get a job than rely on unemployment that barely pays anything. He’s been job hunting non stop but during this time, a lot of places aren’t hiring. It really sucks because things were finally falling into place for us, we were planning to go to Paris (my dream place to go) within these few months which won’t get to happen. I am super super grateful that I still have a job, but working from home is so much harder than being in an office. I live with my mom and sister and I don’t have room for an “office” so my printer, computer, check scanner, calculator and tons of papers are taking over the kitchen table which is tiny. We are in the middle of switching systems, changing banks, and I recently got some of the responsibilities of my former boss who left. There are people who are worse off, I know I can’t complain. I keep getting told “well you’re boyfriend doesn’t have it bad because he wasn’t let go” while this is true, but he’s still technically unemployed and has a couch to live on. I know this situation weighs so heavy on his heart because he feels like it’s his fault that we can’t accomplish the things we wanted and he should be the one providing for me. I just hope some good comes his way so he can be more hopeful.

I loved Taylor way before watching Miss Americana. After watching it, it just validated my love for her even more. She is such a genuinely good person and it breaks my heart everything that she went through. But on the other hand it all lead to the person that she is today and I’m so proud of her for that. Taylor you’re an inspiration, truly. Keep being a boss babe 💋
