She rests her hands onto his, sighing. She’s hesitant to say anything about what she was feeling but tells him in hopes that he understands. “When I look at myself, I don’t feel an ounce of beauty. It’s silly, really.”

Liu kisses the side of her neck before spinning her around to meet his eyes. One hand caressed her face as the other pulls her closer to him. “Nothing silly about that. However, I do advise you to think differently about yourself.”

Y/n can only smile at him as he continues to praise her. “You’re personality is amazing but I think your looks is what sold me.”

Liu winks with a chuckle when Y/n nudges his side. “You are all around beautiful. You’re talented, smart, gorgeous, and so loving. I hope one day, you see it too. Come on, let’s get to bed.”

That night, Liu shows her just how much he loved everything she hated.

Kitana

Kitana joins her lover outside as the sun begins to set. Sitting on the grassy hillside of their temple, Kitana admires her lover. The red hair, their complexion, and every little detail on their face. Kitana adored it all. “Kitana? May I ask you something?”

She can only hum and nod in response as Y/n’s head turns to face her with an almost deadpanned face. “Why did you fall in love with me?”

Kitana is at lost for words at first, her face beginning to show concern for the woman in front of her. “Y/n? May I ask why you’re even questioning my love for you?” She asks Y/n, a bit offended.

“I… just can’t understand why you’d be with someone that looks like me? You can have anyone you want and yet, you decide to stick beside me and I can’t understand why.” Y/n’s voice begins to lower as she says this, her knees brought up to her chest while her arms wrap around her legs, a sad look on her face as she tries to avoid eye contact with Kitana who scoots closer.

Kitana takes her slender fingers and runs a strand of Y/n’s hair through her hand. “Y/n, you surely don’t think that low of yourself.”

Y/n doesn’t respond, instead, she drops her head on her knees and bites the inside of her cheek, nervously. “Y/n, look at me.”

The calmness and soothing tone of Kitana can only make Y/n abide. Her head slowly lifts up, her eyes wandering around and landing on anything but her lover. Kitana takes a hand and holds Y/n’s chin firmly but gentle enough to slowly turn Y/n’s head to face her. Kitana let’s out a small chuckle, “Y/n… I chose you because I wanted to. You are truly a woman of great character. I love the way your red hair rests on your shoulders or the way your smile brightens up when we see each other, I love everything about you. Your beauty is just a bonus.”

With her working late and Peter needing to do patrol, Mayday had no choice but to tag along. But that mean messing up Mayday’s sleep schedule. That alone, made her just like every other normal baby. Cranky, loud, fussy, and everything but calm. If Peter wasn’t so busy trying to soothe her nerves, he’d be crying along with her.

It wasn’t a smooth night shift for nurse Y/n either. Being an ER nurse meant soothing the nerves of many sick and ill children. She didn’t mind it though. Being a nurturing person was one of many good qualities that she had. The reason Peter fell head over heals for her. But just because she didn’t mind it, didn’t mean it didn’t wear her out.

The clock strikes 3 AM. Both Peter and Mayday enter through one of the windows of their two bedroom home even though Y/n strictly says no to entering that way. Mayday, still fussy as ever, creates an echo throughout the home as Peter sluggishly walks through the hallway and into his bedroom. He takes the baby carrier off and throws it into the corner of the room carelessly, holding Mayday in one hand. He sighs, listening to the front door unlock. “Mama must be home Mayday.” He says bouncing her in his arm slowly in attempt to hush the cries.

Y/n walks to their bedroom with a sigh, equally sluggishly and sleepy. Looking at Peter who is evidently burnt out and exhausted, there was a clear understanding that both of them were in sleep debt. Y/n puts her bag down, giving Peter a kiss on the lips before carefully grabbing Mayday out of Peters calloused hands. “Hey baby girl…” Y/n whispers, holding Mayday in her embrace while rocking side by side.

Peter looks at Y/n and his daughter with a smile. Though Mayday wasn’t biologically Y/n’s, the bond created between the two of them made Peter’s heart melt through his chest. It was clear that from the beginning, Y/n was Maydays mother. The two girls he loved together was enough to calm his fatigue. Sitting on the edge of their bed, his eyes soften listening to Maydays sobs turn into coos and giggles. Y/n makes eye contact with Peter, soon joining him on the edge of the bed. “How was your shift?”

He closes the space between them, his head resting on her shoulder as he looks down at Mayday who slowly drifts off to sleep in Y/n’s arms. “It felt like the week Mayday started teething. What about yours?” He whispers making Y/n giggle quietly.

Y/n shakes her head. “Don’t wanna talk about it.”

He nods his head fully understanding why she must not want to speak about it. Standing up slowly, he yawns whilst stretching. “I’m going to shower. I’ll be back to put her to bed.” She nods watching him enter their bathroom.

Peter comes back after a bit, dressed in sweatpants and no shirt. Ringing his hair with his towel, he puts it away before coming back to Y/n and Mayday. “Alright Y/n-” shutting his lips that curl into a small grin, he chuckles quietly seeing Y/n and Mayday cuddled together, snores leaving both of their mouths.

He carefully climbs into his side of their bed, wrapping his arm around his family, looking at Y/n’s eyes flutter open. “Just for tonight.”

Humming in response, he brings both of them closer to him. A smile on his face as he closes his eyes as well.

Y/n follows Hobie with a commonly used first aid kit with a concerned look watching as he chugs a glass of water. “Hobie, what’s wrong?” Her voice soft and gentle.

“It doesn’t matter. Just go to sleep, it’s late.” Hobie spat out with an annoyed expression on his face, walking past her and into their living room.

Hobie sighs whilst plopping down on the couch, Y/n stands in front of him, a nervous look on her face. Her hands pulling on the sleeves of her shirt as she looks at Hobie kick his feet up on the coffee table, throwing his head back with a low groan. Y/n gathers the courage to sit beside him with her legs crossed, turning to face Hobie who doesn’t acknowledge her for a while. Getting fed up with her presence, he lets out a deep sigh before staring at her. “What the hell are you doing? Get to bed. It’s late for fucks sake.”

Y/n frowns before opening the first aid, grabbing sterilizing wipes. “Please don’t speak to me like that Hobie. I’m your girlfriend, not your child.”

Before Hobie can respond, Y/n grabs his chin and begins to sterilize his cuts and grazes on his face slowly moving to do his hands— cuts and dried blood on them. She prepares herself to hear Hobie fuss and complain but is content with how Hobie doesn’t fight back. In fact, his entire body seems to relax as his face muscles begin to return to its natural spot. “Hobie-”

“I don’t want to hear it Y/n. Not now.” Hobie said spreading his legs out a bit, his eyes closed as his breathing slows down.

Y/n shrugs before wrapping his wounds with bandages. As soon as she finishes, she looks over at Hobie who had seemingly fell asleep. She smiles to herself before putting the first aid kit away, joining Hobie on the couch once again. Resting her head on his chest, she listens to his heartbeat. The slow steady pace of his heartbeat sounding like a lullaby she’d listen to as a kid. Her eyes slowly shutting causing her to drift off to sleep.

A few hours pass. The moon fully on display and Y/n has yet to wake up. Unlike Y/n, Hobie was up yet didn’t move. His body froze in place as he wraps his arms around his girlfriend who snores peacefully. During the quiet moment, Hobie is in deep thought. Sighing as if realizing what he did earlier was wrong. Moving slightly causes Y/n to stir in her sleep a bit. She groans quietly, opening an eye to stare up at her lover with an unsure look. “Hobie?”

Sitting up, she rubs her eyes while yawning. Her body shifts to stare straight at Hobie who leans closer to her. “Hey love?”

She tilts her head a bit, humming in response. “I apologize for earlier. I should’ve just told you what was bothering me.”

Y/n smiles at him as he reaches to grab her hand. “It’s alright. You don’t have to tell me anything if you don’t want to.”

“Some villain got away today. That’s why I was in a bad mood.” Hobie says, looking at their intertwined hands. Her hand a bit smaller and softer compared to his large and calloused hands.

“But why are you being so hard on yourself?” Y/n leans in, a supportive look in her eyes as they dart from his eyes to his lips and back to his eyes.

Hobie shook his head before staring up at her. “The day I met you was the day I told myself that I’d keep London the safest place on earth. Just for you. But hell, I couldn’t even do that.”

She places her forehead on his, a grin on her lips while her face gets a bit warm. “I’m sure you did everything you could’ve Hobie.”

He rolls his eyes sitting back up. “Nothing cool about letting a villain get away like that.”

Y/n looks at him with a smile. Chuckling, she moves herself to his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck as her legs rest on the sides of Hobies thighs. “Well, you’ll always be my hero— which don’t quote me on it! I know you hate being called a hero! You’re human at the end of the day, we make mistakes love.” She says giving him butterfly kisses all over his face.

Hobie smiles, his hands relaxing on her waist as a low groan escapes his lips. “You always know what to say, don’t you?”

She shrugs her shoulders while staying silent. Her head leaning to rest on his shoulder while he holds her closely. They share an intimate and silent moment together, their apartment peaceful and comfortably warm as Hobie embraces his girlfriend who had fallen asleep once again.

Y/n walks to Miguel’s ‘office’ holding information about the anomaly he’d been searching for. Without knocking on the door, she opens the door and quickly shuts it.

“Knocking exists.” Y/n looks up from the files to see Miguel’s bare back, his uniform glitching out on the v-line around his toned stomach as Lyla does her best to fix it.

Y/n walks up to him before leaning on his desk, a grin on her face as she holds a hand up to Lyla. “Take your time Lyla, seriously.”

Miguel looks at his coworker with a raised brow, used to her flirty demeanor. “You’re enjoying this too much.”

“What is there not to enjoy?” A confident smile on her face as she plops herself onto his desk, swinging her legs back and forth.

“There’s nothing like a man’s suit malfunctioning in the middle of work.”

He looks at her with an amused expression in his eyes as his lips press into a thin line. Crossing his arms, he stares at the woman while stepping closer to her. Placing his hands beside her thighs and onto the desk, he leans in. “What do you mean by that ?”

With his face closing in on what little space there was between the two. “Oh I think you know what I mean.”

“Can’t say that I do Y/n.”

“Can I show you then?” A smirk on her lips as she looks into his eyes.

Miguel looks at her with a cocky grin. “Rushing into it, are you not?”

“Shut it.” Y/n couldn’t wait another second before smashing her lips into his own. Within a few seconds, the kiss gets heated. Y/n’s hands run through Miguel’s hair while his own hands are placed on her waist as she leans into his touch. Pulling away from each other, Y/n stares at Lyla who looks at them awkwardly. “On second thought Lyla, don’t fix it at all.”

“Of course Miss. Y/n.” Lyla nods, giving Y/n a wink before disappearing.

Y/n looks at Miguel with a smirk. “Work can wait.” Sliding the files off of his desk, she pulls him on top of her.

Her tongue moving from his mouth to tracing his jawline. Sucking his neck like a thirsty vampire. “We can keep going or if you’d like-”

Miguel covers her mouth with one of his large hands as he looks into her eyes. “Quit speaking.”

His large figure hovering over her as he helps her strip down to her undergarments. His hands pinning her to the desk as his mouth moves to bite her neck and collarbones. Y/n let’s a soft moan escape her lips before a smile sticks to her lips. The feeling of his lips going down to her waist makes Y/n throw her head back, his hands grasp onto her upper thigh, gripping it tightly before playing with the edge of her laced underwear. “Fucking hell Miguel.” Her breath shaken and filled with pleasure as he slowly makes it on top of her.

His suit shutting down completely while Y/n opens her legs, relaxing them on either sides of the large man. Miguel adjusts himself in between her legs before staring at her.

“Can you take it?” Y/n rolls her eyes at the teasing tone of her coworker.

“Just shut it and let me figure it out on my own.” The man smirks at her words before pulling her undergarments off of her body and throwing it to the floor.

He watches her closely as his cock stops right in front of her entrance. Y/n stares into his eyes with an annoyed expression. “Why’d you stop?”

Miguel looks at her with a smirk. “Beg for it.”

She shakes her head while backing up into a corner with Miles who seems stunned by the anger admitting from Miguel right now. “Pinche pendejo Miguel! This isn’t right.”

Miguel let’s out a low groan, sighing deeply before yelling straight into her face. “You think I like doing this?! I don’t always fucking like what I have to do! But I know I have to do it! So move!” His yell echoed as his red eyes continue to glare at his wife.

“I’m sorry, I can’t let you hurt him mi amor. I can’t let you do this.” Her voice cracking as she uses her powers to create a protective shield around Miles.

He does not take this information lightly. His fist clenched, his knuckles white underneath his talons as he punches the nearest wall, the concrete of the area he’s punched plummets to the floor as he practically growls in anger. “Just what the fuck are you trying to do?!”

Y/n looks over at him with a selfless look on her face. “He’s a child Miguel! Just look at how much losing our daughter has changed us! Miles will go through the same thing if we let his father die!” She yelled out with tears filling her eyes.

The look in Miguel’s face softens as he listens to his wifes’ concerns. Something in his mind clicks as he sees tears welling in his lovers eyes. “Not everything has to be done so violently. So I am letting Miles go. You or any Spider-hero that even tries to pursue him, I will handle myself!” Y/n wipes her tears before leading Miles away from her husband and HQ.

Miguel watches as they walk off. Hobie walks up and places a hand on his shoulder, an amused grin from his face. “You should probably apologize.” He walks off and leaves Miguel stunned and flustered.

Hours pass and Miguel is back in his office. Frustrated and angry with his wife, Miles, and even himself. He looks forward into his holographic screen. A photo of his family, a photo where he looked happy and healthy. His mind seems to wander as his wife walks in with a knock. “Miguel?” Her voice was soft and weary as she wasn’t sure what mood Miguel was in.

She inches closer as his back faces her. “Miguel…please talk to me.”

Miguel hesitates for a moment before he turns around to wrap his arms around his wife who for a second, doesn’t do anything. With a sad grin on her face, she wraps her arms around his waist, her head resting on his chest as they embrace each other as if nobody else existed.

Both are silent yet an understanding between the exchange was established. Though it was hard for him to express his feelings, his wife was able to understand him in a way nobody else would.

“We’ll figure something out mi amor.” Standing in a warming embrace, a small grin replaces the frown on Y/n’s face.
