#i had to do not one but two typing classes. one in elementary school and one in high school #but they only bothered to teach us to type with the “proper typing posture” in the first class.#did a dinky little program where they taught you letter by letter. and if you were learning slowly well. thems the breaks kid.#little me had only made it to I think like the k and s key. did not really properly make it off the home row #and then we left the computer lab and I was excited to go back and continue and we never did #and so of course in the second one I got a lot of flaque and repeatedly told to type the proper way when that wasnt how I typed #and then people proceeded to say I was bad at typing when I dropped from the ~60 wpm I got with my prefered typing form to ~15-30 wpm

It's fun when the robot character in the sci-fi show gets cut in half because nobody working on this type of media knows anything about robotics and you never know what you're going to find inside. Green printed circuit boards? Meat and viscera, but like in a weird colour? Just a shitload of goo?

I especially like it when the robot appears to have realistic musculature which operates via contraction, suggesting some sort of fluid-driven or shape-memory-based actuation, and then it gets dismembered and a bunch of random gears and sprockets go flying everywhere.
