I do not put value on the sins my hands have created, tell me whatcha want and how much you are willing to pay and I will decide if it outweighs my laziness. You can even pay me not to do work. PROGRESS: 

Sonic is representative of purgatory. A reference to the uncertainty of there ever being a good game in the franchise again. There is the potential for redemption, but an even greater chance of stagnation.

Banjo is representative of a damned “existence” at the hands of devil (Microsoft). A once pure body corrupted by greed to an extent that it resorts to cannibalism and necromancy. Eventually becoming the serpent itself in it’s newest incarnation.
