Side-by-side photos comparing early and final heights with concept arts of Miss Cuttenclip and paper crane.
*Sentence below the early height comparison: The early art showing the Flying Monkey (first from left), the Wicked Witch of the West (second from left), and the Good Witch of the North (first from right), all of which differ significantly from the final designs. The figure second from right is suspected to be either a Munchkin or the Wizard of Oz in circus costume.
「goddess so wwwhy on earth was Tin Man nearly designed as a fuel drum, and even appears on a poster of English version(you may know what I refer to).LMAO🤣
Concept arts of Witch of the North,Aunt Em and residents of Ozland.
「I really adore the "lived-in" design concept for the people of Oz. All the little props and subtle details are so down-to-earth yet utterly charming.
Have you ever wondered about Dorothy's age and the heights of the main characters? A certain editor assumed Uncle Henry's height to be 180 cm and calculated that Dorothy is about 145 cm tall (roughly 11 years old), the Scarecrow and the Tin Man stand at 165-170 cm (which counts as tall in Oz, where most inhabitants are relatively short), and the Witch of South is well over 2 meters tall.
「I've always thought Dorothy's personality feels very childlike, but some of her poses in the series and concept art come across as surprisingly charming—so I guessed she must be at that delicate stage between childhood and adolescence, around 11 or 12. Turns out the editor and I are on the same page, haha~
「I'm 170 cm tall! The Scarecrow and the Tin Man are actually around my height—maybe even shorter than me! 🤯🤯

「I think Dorothy on the packaging box looks more childlike and cute, but the current one is still okay.
「The studio that headed the compilation of this book has plans to potentially launch crowdfunding campaigns in the future for animated adaptation picture books and figures of the remaining main characters. However, it's a very small studio, so we might have to wait quite a while. Still, let's keep our fingers crossed—having something to look forward to is always nice~主持编著的工作室计划,以后可能开放动画改编绘本和主角团剩下人员的手办的众筹,但他们是很小的工作室,可能需要等很久。
Also〖BINDING DETAILS(need extra cost)〗are shown, including painted edges depicting Dorothy's journey & the slipcase and cover (It's been quite damp in my house recently, so the book pages have warped a bit. Sorry that the presentation isn't perfect)
Also binding details, featuring endpapers printed with profiles of the main characters, which also include a limited-edition seals and the authors' signatures.

「it just SO hard to take a photo with clear pale blue Tin Man profile using my low-pixel cellphone camera💦
〖INTERNATIONAL PURCHASING
I'm not sure if this book is available on platforms outside of China, anyway I bought mine on Taobao. To be honest, I'm not entirely familiar with the specifics of cross-border shopping on Taobao, but I know it's feasible. Apart from having to wait a bit longer and the potential difficulty with returns, the process doesn't seem overly complicated.
Put the link here for those who are interested. The price of ¥360 includes the peripheral items and the special binding (limited release, but hadn't sold out during I made this post), while the ¥188 option is for the book alone.
