i will try to be messaging some of my followers, and, i just wanted you to know it is more than okay for you guys to hit me up on messenger here! i’m super nice i promise. :’( i also have replies i need to write in my drafts so i will try to be getting to those too! if you like this post, i will send you a starter meme if you’ve posted one recently, or just talk to you about potential plots.

“Oh..domestic dispute?  That’s still something I can help you with if you need it.  Don’t be afraid to speak up.  It doesn’t make you any less of a man for being able to admit that there is discourse in your relationship.  Whether it be with…a woman or a …” Suwon thinks back to what the other man just said.  “A man.  You love who you love and sometimes they turn out to be snakes in bunny outfits.  If that comparison even makes sense, which I don’t think it does, but you get what I was going for.”

He is not one to judge people for their preferences.  While he has always been with women, he has definitely found himself attracted to men.  They just don’t ever seem to be attracted back.  Then again, no one is ever attracted back.  Maybe he’s just too awkward.  Then again, again, his internal conflict can wait for another time, this conversation isn’t about him.  It’s about the man before him who still seems to be having an issue with someone who has made their way into the cafe.

“If he sees you, then just ignore him.   But I mean it.  If he’s hurt you in some way, even though you have said he is not dangerous, I can help you and there are places you can go to talk to people.  If not, then just ignore him.  An ex is an ex for a reason and they don’t deserve to have any kind of hold over you.  Take control of your own life and be proud of who you are without them….”  He takes a bite of his sandwich and speaks through a full mouth.  “I’m Suwon.  Did I mention that?”  

He starts to feel incredibly rude for practically ignoring the male across from him, but with his heart drumming loudly in his chest from his heightened anxiety of the whole experience it was hard to completely concentrate. “It’s really not.. We didn’t.. leave on any sort of unsafe terms. He wouldn’t try anything if he saw me, I’m sure. I just.. really don’t want to have to talk to him.”

Once said ex and his group move to a table further behind them Yixing lowers his hand that was raised to guard his face, sighing softly as he swirls around the yogurt in his cup. “You’re being awfully kind to me. Thank you. Suwon, you said? Again, I’m sorry for disrupting your lunch.” Yixing smiles halfway. He silently realizes he can’t leave the yogurt shop anytime soon since he would have to walk past his ex in order to exit, so he decides to make himself comfortable. He takes a spoonful of green tea flavored yogurt into his mouth, eyeing the man across from him. 

In need of some fresh air and alone time, Hyejin requested that she get dropped off a block away just so she could take a leisurely stroll to help clear her mind before the interview she was going to attend with the rest of her group. Half way down the street, she’s standing before a man that’s planted into the ground. The singer was a little bit relieved to have come across him and not some other random person. “I’m just as speechless as you are, man.” Curiousity was written all over her face, wanting to know the story of how he ended up there. It seemed like a mystery really. Before offering a hand to help him, she holds out the bottle of water she was carrying then proceeds on to bring him to his feet. “The real question here is if you’re okay?”

He knows he should be embarrassed. But, at this time in the early morning his head is being slaughtered with a headache, and the thought of being embarrassed hardly even crosses his mind. Yixing eagerly takes the water bottle from the woman, nodding his head in thanks as he clumsily rises to his feet with her aide. “Yeah, I think I’m okay. What time is it, do you know?” He swallows a few gulps of water, sighing out of relief afterwards. “Thank you for being the one to find me and not someone.. really weird.” He laughs as he rolls his shoulders to loosen up his tight muscles.

“Uhm…yes?”  Suwon is taken aback by the fact that a stranger has just taken the spot across from him.  “Are you alright though? If you’re in trouble, I can help.  Don’t be afraid to tell me, okay?  I am an officer of the law.  Is that not why you sat down here?” 

He cranes his neck and begins to survey the yogurt shop.  “Was someone following you?  And did you duck in here to avoid them?” The cop really cannot stop himself from immediately assuming the worst.  It comes from years of chasing bad guys and of course, the things he’s seen as he’s grown up.  Girls and boys alike in school with stalkers that do the strangest things to get their attention.  This man before him is quite attractive, so that could be what’s happening.  Then again, Suwon could be making a mountain out of a molehill.

“I’m just very confused as to what’s happening here.  Speak to me!” He should have known something would happen as soon as he decided to take his break.

With a second to breathe and compose himself, Yixing tugs his earbuds from his ears so he’s able to hear the male more clearly. It’s then when he realizes he decided to sit himself across from a police officer of all people, instantly worrying he’s making the situation worse by bringing him into this. “Oh.. No, I’m sorry. I don’t meant to alarm you. I just..”

As Yixing starts, the male he’s trying to avoid nears their table as he scoots down the yogurt dispensers closer to the cashier. The hand covering Yixing’s face hovers closer so even the officer across from him can hardly see his expression. He speaks lowly as he cowers in on himself, “I’m really trying to avoid someone. But-- they aren’t dangerous or anything, I’m sorry for freaking you out.” The young male notices his ex glancing around the cafe and they almost make eye contact. A shiver runs down Yixing’s spine and he wants to bury his face into his yogurt and possible just shrivel up and die there. He realizes he probably looks even more noticeable and strange all hunched over, so he tries to ease up, his hand still shrouding his face.

“I swear to God if he sees me..” He’s practically whining as he gnaws at his lower lip. “I’m Yixing by the way.”

Jennie looks up at him smiling softly, as she stood there. “Level 5 please” She replied, as she waited patiently, as the elevator began to move. When it slammed into a halt, she almost fell, but the male caught her. Too busy looking around, she didn’t know how close they were. She blushed, before stepping away from him. “Thank you for catching me.” Bowing her head slightly. “I am okay now. What are we going to do? Where stuck” She replied, looking at you worriedly, as she sunk to the ground.

Yixing’s arm instantly moves to grab for her arm to prevent her from falling over, his legs holding himself steady to keep both of them from being knocked to the floor. “You’re welcome.” A warm smile temporarily masks the worry etched on his face before glancing to the keypad of buttons, pressing the emergency button before turning to the stranger. “Don’t worry, we’ll get out of here. They’ll come and get us soon enough I’m sure. Let’s not panic, okay?” He notices her anxiety rising as she fumbles to the ground, so he crouches beside her before resting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. 

“What’s your name?”

By now the music echoing from the speakers on the ceiling has stopped, leaving the lobby to be drowned in silence save for Yixing’s typing. The muffled sound from the still busy street outside paired with the clattering of the keyboard is sort of therapeutic to the young man, and as a result of the peaceful atmosphere his work seems to be going smoothly. He hums a little tune to himself distractedly as he thoroughly basks in the quiet. It’s all so nice, sitting alone with his focus purely on his work displayed on the computer screen before him.

That is, before there’s a loud thump on the glass door and Yixing feels himself jumping out of his own skin, squeaking softly out of surprise. There he sees a figure of a person huddled up with their back crowded against the door, sitting on the pavement. The figure-- the man, Yixing soon realizes-- doesn’t sit still for long. He instead hobbles up into a standing position with long legs that barely hold the rest of his body upright, stumbling about while yelling about something to a couple who walks by him. Even from inside the hostel Yixing can hear the loud rumble of his voice, and he rolls his eyes, eager to return back to what he was doing. The stranger doesn’t let up though. He’s now screaming some song from the top of his lungs, arms extended up to the sky with his head tossed back.

There’s too much frozen yogurt filling Yixing’s disposable bowl but he doesn’t care, nodding his head along to music passing through his earbuds as he manages to bury the yogurt with all sorts of condiments. He had a bad habit of turning to sweets, well-- food in general, when a tiring day of work made the nagging headache at the back of his head return no matter if he took pain killers or not. After paying for his bowl he scans the small cafe for a comfortable spot to sit. Just as he’s about to retreat to an area in the very corner he notices the figure about to enter through the glass doors, eyes blown wide as he easily recognizes the cutely permed hair and pretty face.

His feet move without much thought and he takes a seat at the nearest table he can find that has an empty spot.  He ends up across from some stranger with a uniform on, Yixing’s back facing the entrance to the shop to avoid all eye contact. “Can I sit here please? I’m sort of desperate right now.” He asks, despite already planting himself down. Yixing’s hand is cradled at the side of his face, trying to nonchalantly cover himself from the familiar face and the group he’s with. 

It’s not for the sake of nitpicking at all. Whenever he sees a movie, it’s not uncommon for Kyungsoo to see it a couple of more times (the advantage of owning a press privilige pass). Every little passing detail, his eyes want to find and his mind wants to capture, and every single time he reshapes his opinion and adjusts to his liking and disliking. To him, it is both work and pleasure.

Usually, people leave him to his devices. His aura is off putting to say the least. The privacy and solitude he craves speaks volumes in the way he carries himself. Isolation in his own personal bubble. People tend to stay away from people like him. It’s how he has his own space even in a fairly packed hall. Maybe the person approaching him is oblivious to it. Maybe the air around him isn’t any type of air at all. Some people don’t get it. Or they don’t mind. Kyungsoo doesn’t know which one to categorize this person in. His face lacks a smile–as usual–but he shakes his head.

“No. It’s free.” He wants to say ‘you can sit’, but it’s not his territory and it sounds like he thinks of himself as higher than the stranger. He really doesn’t.

His anxiety spikes as he stands lingering nearby the stranger, worried that he was to be turned down and he’d have to search for elsewhere to sit. He wonders if his desperation carries as he gazes at the other with hope clouding his eyes. Once the man grants him permission he bows again, so grateful to get out of the way from the people sat in the rows behind them.

Yixing makes himself comfortable in the spot to the left of the other with his tub of popcorn cradled carefully in his lap. His eyes carry over from his lap to the man beside him. He seemed a bit intimidating, and Yixing a year ago would have done everything possible to not initiate any sort of conversation if unnecessary. Though, the Yixing now was trying to branch out, do things that made him nervous because eventually he’d overcome the feeling and maybe, just maybe, he’d make more than the amount of friends he could count on one lone hand.

It’s half passed three o’clock in the morning and Yixing rolls over in his bed for the nth time that night, blinding groping around in the dark to find his cellphone resting on his bedside table. He scrolls through his recent contacts with his eyes squinted while his eyesight adjusts to the bright screen.

Before she even answers he begins throwing on a presentable outfit, hobbling over to his ensuite to style his hair back from his forehead after splashing some cold water on his face.

Yixing glances over from the keypad at the side of the elevator as the young woman joins him inside, smiling warmly. “What floor do you need?”

His fingertip lightly taps the correct button and the elevator chimes as the doors slide to a close. Yixing rests his back against one of the walls of the elevators, arms crossing comfortably as he adjusts the small shopping bag hanging around his wrist. Suddenly, the elevator slams to a halt, the walls shaking and Yixing immediately grabs for the railing mounted on the back of the elevator.

“Are you okay?”
