“that is very true.” the last thing he needed was for draven to start up again. the babe rarely slept as it was, though duriel questioned if it was really something he needed. a child born of human, angel, and demon blood. only one third of which needed rest. “how are you feeling now?”

     “ better, now.” her smile to him was soft and sweet. she felt exhausted to be quiet honest. she hadn’t expected things to feel this much overwhelming with a newborn. 

“i am glad.” this was the first moment of quiet they had had for a long while. draven was...fussy, to say the least. “it is nice to hear the sound of the water on the beach again.”
