pennywise when he sees a tangelo

I'm going to make a post that I trust you'll take with maturity and emotional intelligence regarding the LGBTQ+ issue and Pennywise. It's nothing bad or against anyone, and it would be foolish of me, being a queer person, but I feel I must say the following.
Although I'm obviously not the one to tell you what to do or not to do, I suggest you avoid using community concepts/terms when referring to Pennywise, such as saying he's "non-binary" or "gender fluid," or even "trans." Instead, use something like "he's similar like a type of hermaphrodite/cosexual supernatural beast who changes according to his needs whenever he wants" (The term hermaphrodite/cosexual should NOT be used in humans because it is an insult to intersex people, and intersex people are not hermaphrodites/cosexuals so don't use it in real people.) to describe his symbolical sex change because he has no gender, because gender is social and human, but in the 80s gender and sex were used exactly the same and even though Pennywise tends to be masculine and feels masculine, it is because SK is a man and almost all of his characters are masculines and it is completely normal that Pennywise was thought and conceived in a masculine way by SK
And in general, Pennywise, being completely dehumanized in every possible way by SK, wouldn't fall under human concepts like those related to the LGBTQ community, because that's something totally human in the sense of how we socially conceive it
But let me explain, as always, in a cold and logical but empathetic way, the reason why I suggest avoiding this (or at least being careful with whom and where you do it):
Stupid people will look for any "excuse" to irrationally hate the LGBTQ community, and the book even addresses this. SK makes it very clear that the homophobic characters on the bridge have very low IQs, and we could say that what triggered Adrian's death was that silly hat that said "I ❤️ DERRY" (and of course that stupid hate) because one of the homophobic characters couldn't win it. SK also makes it clear that other characters consider these homophobic types to be idiots who should be in jail because they are a danger and are monsters
So with what has been happening, especially because of a certain president whose name I won't mention because I'm not stupid and I know this post will get blocked or something like that if I do, haha, and his crazy ideas, the irrational hatred towards the community has grown a lot, especially online. People express too much hate, and even though we can block it, not all fans of Penny will, especially those more prone to depression, sadly (I know what depression is like too; I take medication for it, but not everyone has the opportunity).
And I'll tell you a story from the horror fandom a few years ago. When the movie IT came out in 2017, the Pennywise x Babadook ship emerged, and it wasn't very popular. Not because it wasn't aesthetically appealing or because there wasn't good "chemistry" or anything like that, it was because the LGBTQ community fans of the horror had already, let's say, affectionately "adopted" the Babadook as a "gay monster" because of the whole closet thing, lol (And if I remember correctly, during those years there was also an increase in hatred towards the LGBTQ community, which "decreased" somewhat later.)
But the Babadook doesn't torture or massacre and do horrific things in every possible sense to the humanity, and above all, he doesn't prey on children (as far as I remember, I've only seen the movie twice). Pennywise, on the other hand, does in all his canonical versions, and people outside the horror fandom (and especially outside the Pennywise fandom) only know (in their own way) the canonical Pennywise and know what he does.
So the horror and LGBTQ community didn't like that ship much because they didn't want the murderous, child-torturing cosmic clown as a "community representative" because there were already stupid people saying stupid things like "Oh! Are you saying that gay people harm children just like Pennywise? Do they do the same things as Pennywise?" Because those stupid people don't know how to differentiate reality from fiction.
I know, I witnessed that even though I wasn't very active in the fandom at the time.
But back then, IT/Pennywise wasn't very popular outside of the horror fan community. Now, with IT: Welcome to Derry, Pennywise has become quite popular outside of that community (for better or for worse). With the next two seasons and the Super Cut, and with the increasing hate on social media (and people expressing it in real life too), because they feel emboldened by a president, seeing Pennywise become popular and the fandom using concepts/terms to talk about Pennywise's sex (or "gender") is literally reminding me of what I saw with the Pennywise x Babadook thing. I saw a lot of stupid comments like that last year and at the beginning of this year when the WTD series was all the rage, especially on TikTok and me be like:
because I repeat, they are only going to see the acts of the canonical Pennywise (And it makes sense, besides, Pennywise wasn't created by Stephen King to make us feel anything positive towards him, hahaha) and they will not see the "domesticated" Pennywise of the fandom and the Pennywise fandom is very small (the IT one is more or less big and focuses on the loser's club, but the Pennywise sub-fandom is the small one)
But of course, only you know what you'll do with this information and you can use the concept/term that you want and what I am saying is just a suggestion that you are not obliged to accept, but I felt I had to express it, and in fact, I came to that conclusion with my closest "penny-friends", who, interestingly enough, are also queer people, lol. In general, I have many acquaintances and friends who are LGBTQ, although of course many aren't, for obvious reasons, since most people in the world aren't. But in general, my friends and acquaintances are respectful (if I know who they are, of course; one can't be 100% aware of everyone you have added on social media)
Be strong in your spirit and do not stop being yourself, enjoy Pennywise and any fictional character that you like because it is just fiction and we make headcanons to have fun for a while, but we must not forget the canon either and that is the one that people are going to associate and it is wise to be careful with the villains that we like because those stupid people do not know how to differentiate reality from fiction
but as I've said many times, be creative and have fun with your pennywise headcanons ❤️❤️
