“I’m under stress, I usually don’t apologize for jack, not even to you.” Ruby stated, deciding to cross her arms and wait for Weiss to start answering her questions. “Yeah, I’ll need to learn how to not make my eyes affect you, otherwise you’ll end up like Cinder and nobody likes that.” Ruby realized as much herself, wanting to know something else too.
“How did you convince the granny? You didn’t lie to her, did you? I won’t blame you if that’s the case, but the point remains that once we’re done here and in the clear, I’ll need to lay down and sleep for a couple of days. Not only did I have to bsut down god-knows how many iron doors, but I fought half of the Ace Ops on my own, I am tired.”
“Figures, I still hoped it would be in a stupid obvious place where no one ever thought to get it.” Ah well, she simply followed after Weiss, busting into the building adjacent to where Weiss told her and was now running down the spiral stairs, which seemingly went on forever. “Say, would it be a stupid idea to just jump down and hope we don’t hit the ground with a splash?”
Oh well, without saying much of a word, Ruby threw herself over the ledge and let herself fall down. Enjoying the twenty of so seconds of freefalling, she hit the ground with her feet, having turned and simply landed that way. “Hey, that was better than I thought!” For now she waited for Weiss to join her, even catching her partner if she needed it.
“I didn’t.” Weiss replied. She would, however, keep her answer that short for now. Time is of the essence right now, after all. “And of course. We’re going to lay low after doing what we have to do here, make things die down first.” That, and its not just the Rose that fought half of Ironwood’s best, after all. She was with her, too, and both of them had to deal with one half, each, so she, too, would need some rest.
Getting stronger is not equal to getting refreshed, to begin with.
“In Atlas’ defense, its floating, so its a bit trickier to get than on Vale or Mistral. At least by ordinary means.” Well, the other ones who are after it aside from them are far from ordinary, anyway.
‘Tch. These stairs will take forever.’ She thought to herself as she and Ruby descended down. That is, until Ruby started speaking.
“A what?”
And before she can even properly process what Ruby had said, the Rose had already went ahead with her idea. Not much to the Schnee’s surprise, considering she’s pretty much used to it at this point. So now, she only let out a sigh, before jumping down, following Ruby’s descent.
All that for just twenty seconds.
Having been caught by Ruby, Weiss would then get on her feet, a small smile on her face while saying “See, if its stupid, but it works, then it ain’t stupid.” Yeah, something she had seen from Ruby, time and time again. Unexpected ideas that actually work a whole lot better. Again, Weiss is already used to it.
“I’d even choose this than enduring those flights of stairs, any day.”
