Georgina stared at Kit, assessing how serious she was, and then cackled. The other side called themselves noble, but she thought naive suited them better.

"Our associates? Our associates? They haven’t been my associates for years! Besides — “

She smiled, barely concealing a smirk.

  "You would do well to know that nothing good comes out of this.    You're a very resourceful woman, Georgina,    but this is absolutely wrong."

It wasn't even funny; it never was in the first place. When lives were at stake, there were only two things to do: leave them be and carry on, or address the matter directly.

"I didn’t say she didn’t work hard! I’m just stating the fact that she’s creepy with a capital K… I mean, C. I mean- her last self-assigned research presentation was on the functional uses of low-frequency radio waves and light stimuli for mind control.”

Olaf screwed his mouth up into a frown and folded his arms.

"I work hard at different things. Everyone’s their own kind of smart, and some of us don’t care for reading all the time."

He paused.

"Functional uses of low-frequency radio waves and light stimuli for mind control," she repeated.

  True, that was a little disturbing.   Kit looked more concerned than anything,   but if it's for the good of the organization,   she really couldn't complain.

"Well duh, of course I’m handsome. I’d hardly do well in a prison environment, either. I mean, at least I’m handy with a butterfly knife-“

Olaf rolled his eyes and scoffed at the mention of their fellow student.

Oh, a lot of things. Charles didn't give those to her for nothing.

  "They're what they are, blueprints for devices.    Devices that will help us in this schism,    and devices that will possibly help those in harm."

"Oh, I see. You don’t plan on getting arrested because you don’t plan on getting caught, right?"

He chuckled. If she did go to jail, the fact that the two of them could no longer see each other would probably serve some kind of comfort for her brother. 

  "Stop that, you!"

Despite her words, it was evidently clear that the young count-to-be made a wide, happy smile appear on her face. Excitement, joy and amusement were laced in her voice and displayed in her smile.

i like to think that lemony didnt ever approve of kit’s affection towards olaf (or likewise)??? thats why hes so mean to him in his books and generally everytime he mentions him anywhere haha.

"I dunno. Bad, I guess. Regardless of whether or not people deserve to be there or not, prison’s meant to make you feel bad. 

  "More of like...just in case. So that I know how to handle it."

Technically, everything that these kids did  were prone to getting them arrested in one way or another. Their chaperones at least had to teach them what to do in order to not get caught.

"For ever, Miss Snicket.”

He spoke at the wrong time, apparently, because right after he says this he feels an odd and sudden twitching sensation in his achilles tendon and he leans, awkwardly and involuntarily, to the left. 

Certainly, she can't let him fall! She laughs and helps him steady, all the while smiling with utter joy and amusement.
