Elsa is just gong to quietly pick up the empty eggnog cup in front of the snowman and raise it to her nose. With a sniff she checks to see if it smelled like there was alcohol in the drink before setting it back down.

Elsa places her hands over her heart as it sent the warmth of affection through her. Olaf brought all of this for her? What did she ever do to deserve such a sweet little snowman?

“Aww. Thank you, Olaf.” She lowered herself onto her knees in front of him so she could take the basket and look through them. “Ooh. Cookies. You know me so well.” She affectionately booped his carrot nose with the tip of her finger. “And you know what? I have something for you, too.”

“Olaf, no- Don’t you throw that.” Elsa held up a finger authoritatively as she looked down at the snowman. “I will give you to the count of three to put down your little brother’s torso. One... Two-”

And off the ball of snow flew. With two little legs and bouncing Snowgie head trailing gleefully after it. The little mute creature didn’t stop grinning for even a moment as it reassembled itself and raced back to Olaf to be thrown again. And with that action a herd of other Snowgies began to form, each waiting for their turn to be tossed.

“Oh, definitely...” Elsa frowned, tapping her chin as she examined the ‘magical’ artifact positioned in front of her. “It seems to be a mirror that shows the worst possible version of yourself... Creepy, but I don’t really see the point.”

Elsa often considered Olaf too simple and innocent to understand complex concepts like “depression”. Or “loneliness”. He was the living embodiment of her childhood happiness... Why would he ever feel sad?

She was always impressed by his ability to be supportive when people needed someone to talk to.

“Thank you, Olaf...” 

     “Of course. As if I could get away.”

     The queen let the diplomats wait a bit longer as she lowered to her knees before the happy little snowman. She gave him the biggest, warmest hug she could muster. Enough to hopefully tide him over until she was finished with her royal duties.
