The Genshin lore is legitimately so convoluted it is ridiculous. 75% of it is kept in books/leaflets they expect the player to first find and then read fully. This is fucking stupid, of course, because who has time for that? Then they fill the lore with so many made-up, massive, silly words that it's legitimately hard to follow and harder (in some cases) to translate correctly across languages, so a lot of it sounds like nonsense.

Then, after all of this combined, they expect you to understand something the Traveler says, that is a reference to a book you missed behind Neuvillette's desk, during an event that is no longer in the game (and was never going to be permanent past a couple weeks), and when you don't understand, the shitty Hoyo community judges you, calls you illiterate and stupid, and then you're laughed at.
