luc-ianx:
it seemed to always be like this, that lucian wondered if nothing had changed at all from the amount that he had been away. “blood bags have been compelled dear sister. though i’m sure our brother would be delighted to have them.” he tells her, watching her with weary eyes as she moved for the bottle of whiskey that was on the other side of the room. he stayed seated of course, before nodding his head hearing her words on their brother. “the state of our house is concerning because its clear who made the mess.” he tells her, his voice always soft when he was just merely talking to his siblings. “thank you, lyra. for bringing him home.” he then offers, though he knew that wasn’t what she was asking of him, but he thought to thank her anyway, since it was obvious who found him. “where was he?” he asks, because he had also been looking for cassius, and lucian had no such luck in finding him.
Silence fell over the room, save for the sound of her perfectly painted red nails tapping gently upon the side of the crystal glass that the whiskey was slowly being poured into. Silence continued as Lyra took a few moments to savor the taste, her back comfortably turned on Lucian as his words hung in the air as they so often did; they had always been the patient two, sometimes agonizingly so. “There isn’t any need for concern, brother.” now she turns, her icy blue gaze meeting that of Lucian’s soft stare, the one he always wore when speaking to any of them, though it did little to soften her own; nothing rarely did. “In the bloody ocean off of a remote island that had been cloaked for centuries apparently. Someone went to great lengths to ensure he wouldn’t be found and other than the fact that he’s Cassius Carmikael and that should be reason enough, it seems there is more to why this happened than originally thought.”
