despite having an active past in relation to association with other people , andrea didn’t have a large track record of actually being in relationships. she usually ran before things got serious , unable to bring herself to be committed to the person ; this didn’t have a reasoning behind being faithful , but the inability to hold a proper relationship with communication. andrea was the type that wanted to be free , wanted to spend her life without having someone tell her what she could & couldn’t do. jack , though , jack was different. she was happy to join along with andrea’s adventures , happy to sit beside the woman while she drew the bowl of fruit for fun. the attitudes of patience that jack had was enough to confuse the wolff woman , questioning everything she had once vowed to.
her dad would have loved jack , with her quirks & ability to have a dark humour when necessary. the knowledge of her father loving the woman across from her was enough to andrea to reach over and lightly take hold of the woman’s hand with a smile on her lips. ‘‘ can’t have you unfunctional , right ? ’’ she teased before letting go of jack’s hand to close her textbooks. ‘‘ slept good , no complaints from me. how about you ? i didn’t kick too much , did i ? ’’
“Mmmmm- I don’t know if that’s a word beautiful,” Jack replied in a sing-song voice as went over to the coffee pot and poured herself a cup. She added a couple of sugar lumps and cream, she was trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. Coffee was not a substantial breakfast, but she knew for some people it was enough. “I’m craving waffles- how do you about that?” Jack asked. “I do have a waffle iron that is calling our name- and it will go great with your fruit.”
