Adding on to the immortality thing. Im aware undead in horrorvale are techhhhnically immortal by default (? As in they don't die; they just despawn but can get their souls erased) so I'm trying to think of something else the pill gave her that she has to go into into hiding (probably just a lot of power for an average undead though)
The main thing that really contradicts my interpretation of her is that she's described as a goddess once iirc, and well a goddess she is not
(but Henry also said he's not sure about how true her story is so I'm taking anything I can get for my Chang'e parallels lmao)

Her name is Pip (she/they) and she's an Ex-Card Guard exploring Tartarus
She managed to escape the Card Realm some time before the events of the game... somehow. I imagine they followed Foul's steps to get outside.
She also discovered the truth about The Dealer, but managed to cast her madness aside and decided to embrace her curiosity of the world outside the Card Realm. Their main goal now is to go explore Tartarus and discover all it has to offer.
Back then, Pip was just a regular spade guard (and a two of spades specifically). I do think there's more than 1 copy of every pip (heh) though, so no one really noticed her disappearance, unlike Foul, but it's not like she minds anyways
That's the basic gist of her character for now, but have some bonus doodles and thoughts underneath (fair warning it's pretty long)
Some alternative card designs. They like to customise their card from time to time but the rose one is their favorite
I'm also debating on a luck gimmick for her. Either:
A) She can be super lucky but only uses it for gambling (and not for survival or anything she just does it for the love of the game)
or
B) She can be extremely lucky but only for things she doesn't care about
Also uh, small TW for suicidal intentions/ideation for these last ones
A moment of madness Post Dealer confrontation
It is kind of interesting how their and Selene's characters basically swapped from when I first thought of them.
I originally imagined Selene as the kind and caring leader but then she ended like Like that. Meanwhile Pip was supposed to be a lot more gloomy, but they ended up getting the whimsy and hope Selene lost.
I think Pip still struggles a bit even after her adventures. It didn't really take much for her to leave the Realm, but it was still a big decision for them. I don't think she misses it that much though.
