You were tempted to just stab it with your trident and see if his running stops him mid stride. Maybe you should. You held back on the speed and held up your trident past your head, aiming it right at him, and threw it right down the hallway.
>He could hear her hot on his heels, his breath becoming ragged for a few steps before he stopped breathing all together; he didn't have to do that. He could feel her reaching for his cape and it was snatched out of the way whenever possible.
