On Monday evening, about 40 people attended Black Lives Matter: From Conflict to Healing, a lecture series hosted by the African American Studies Program. The panel included Pamela Lie-see, Hank Knight, Simon Payaslian, and CFA junior Desire Hinkson. The panel discusssed the Black Lives Matter movement and injustices faced by the black community on a national scale. WTBU's Cynthia Fernandez was there.

On Tuesday, Boston University’s Immigration Law and Policy Society hosted an event called Post-Election Immigrant Rights Teach-In. The event was open to students and allies that were fearful of a Trump administration and what policy changes would occur under his presidency. The conversation was led by Immigration Law Professor Sarah Sherman-Stokes who hoped to inform the public because, as she said in her teach-in, “Knowledge is power.”
