I'm done with Eddie.
For me, the buddie ship has been attacked by a vengeful whale and sunk like the Essex. He doesn't even know how to be a good *friend* to be Buck anymore. I don't want him anywhere near Buck in a romantic sense.
They've both spent several seasons on a journey of healing and growth. Obviously, that isn't linear, nor is it a competition. But, at this point, Eddie has taken so many tiny steps forward and LEAPING BOUNDS backwards that - at this rate - it will take another 10 seasons before he should even *think* about being romantically involved with someone again.
Maybe if the writers allow Eddie to learn how to actually apologize for the emotional shit storms he stirs into people's lives, I'll stop wishing that he has been written out of the show instead of Bobby.
