âRich people fight like giraffesâ
Bonne annĂŠe (feminine words) ⢠Happy New Year ⢠/bÉ.nâża.ne/ Illustrated by @andrinamanonillustration
Happy new year friends!
For the first day of Christmas we bring...
Our new kitty cats, who are enjoying Christmas for the first time!
To the latest review on fanfiction... Chi-Chan, this is literally all Mikey could see when she read your message. She called Raph weezing, so hard she could barely breathe.
We donât write romance, so this will never happen in canon, but we hope you enjoyed this portrayal of your fantasy as we understood it.
Happy reading ;)

And chapter 17 is up on fanfiction!
Writing Chapter 17 like: âKuroko, as much as you want to, you cannot freeze and become part of the decor.â
âRaph
Once upon a time, we realized that yâall had no idea exactly how complicated this story has gotten for us... and that only the Ao3 users know that IYPN is under âIts our Multiverseâ ... so we decided to give you a sneak peek into what exactly that entails.
Yes, all of these are real ideas weâve talked about and fully brainstormed. Yes, they all have written content to their names. No, you canât see ALL of the ideasâ though youâre welcome to guess as to the fandoms.
Just in case yâall wondered what we get up to when we donât update... weâre sorry were easily distracted.
Shout out to our dad, who loves you guys enough to remind us to keep writing when we havenât posted. Couldnât ask for someone more supportive of us, we love him.
I just finished reading through the entirety of "It's Your Play Now" and it is absolutely fantastic. It's 100% the best KNB/Haikyuu crossover I've ever read, and I love how much thought and effort and, well, love that you've put into it. It's so detailed and you guys have just nailed the characterization; I'm so, super duper attached to the versions of the characters you've wrote. Like, I LOVE how you've written Kageyama, and Noya, and Asahi and Suga... Just, you guys are doing fantastic! <3
So we got this lovely comment AGES ago, but midterms happened (and they couldnât be nice enough to line up for BOTH of us, hence why this is so late đŤ) But something this cute deserved cuteness in return, so here you go Anon!!! Our literal reactions to your ask through the characters you love.

Your weekly head canon comes in the form of screenshots today because Mikey is lazy and itâs already written out.
Hope it makes sense!
Are there any characters that youâre dreading having to write? Either because you donât like them or theyâre hard to get write.
Oh man this is a great question. It actually took some discussion between us both to come up with an answer, along with no small amount of thought.
Before we switched writing styles (Mikey writing half of the characters, and Raph the other half) there were quite a few people that Mikey despised writing. Including Hinata (which is why his point of view is pretty limited in the beginning of the story). She just could NOT get into his head the way Raph can, so until we changed it up, she dreaded having to write him.
(coincidentally Raph hated writing Kuroko for the same reasons. We have our characters, and we get them, but the other is a mystery to us, which makes it so weird that us and them are so inseparable)
Honestly between the two of us, we manage to share the load pretty well, and neither of us writes someone we hate. Raph takes people like Akashi, Mikey takes people like Kenma-- it works out.
As for people we havenât gotten to yet.... without any spoilers, neither of us like writing Murisakibara at ALL, so he doesnât show up much. Kurokoâs parents are better off never mentioned, though theyâll probably end up in at least one scene before the end... and the less said about people like Bokuto and Ushijima the better.
We may have the Red, White, Blue, and Yellow personalities split pretty well between us, but sometimes people are just to darn emotive, or non-expressive and it makes our life harder than it needs to be.
Thanks for your ask, itâs literally great! That was way fun to think about, and even more fun to answer! Weâre so glad you joined us here on tumblr ;)

Kuroko never really got in the habit of eating breakfastâ at least until he started sleeping over at Hinataâs house. The full American Breakfast he is treated to the next morning makes him both ecstatic and horrifiedâ and that day goes down in history as the fullest heâs ever been in his LIFE.
At least until the next time he sleeps over.
WE FINALLY HIT 30!
It seems like a big deal to us I guess. As a celebration, What kind of Head Canon do yâall want this week? We are officially taking requests ;)Â
(unless you donât care, in which case you better like what we post, weâre starting to run out of ideas on our own)Â

âHow are you this bad at- donât you start learning this in elementary school?â
âWhat the heck is âelementary schoolâ? And anyway, itâs not like it matters-â
âOh no of course it doesnât matter, itâs only one of the most spoken languages in the world- Ah Kuroko! Come help me with this idiot!?â
âAh- help with what, exactly?â
âAo-baka asked for help with English- all he knows is swear words. Badly pronounced swear words.â
Kuroko only blinks. âYou know English isnât even my second language right? Youâll have better luck on your own.â
Hinata puts his head down and groans, while Aomine rubs his head sheepishly.
âWould this be a bad time to admit that I need help with Math too?âÂ
Hinataâs second groan doesnât quite cover Kurokoâs soft laugh.
The things he does for his friends.

Or that time Kuroko accidentally made an entire street believe itâs haunted.Â
âCâmon, Tetsu! We gotta get to Maji Burger before they close!â Aomine yelled from across the street, a car passing with an irritated honk. Kuroko shook his head.Â
âStupid Aomine, why can he get away with jaywalking and we canât?â Hinata whined. His friend looked antsy, bouncing from foot to foot and looking for a break in the cars.Â
âLets go, slowpokes!â Aomine called again, and Kuroko watched in horror as Hinataâs eyes narrowed before he shot off like a rocket, dodging through a gap between cars that Kuroko never would.Â
Hinata was obviously winded after the sprint, shirt already soaked through from the practice that had gone long, and nearly toppled over when Aomine greeted him with an overenthusiastic pat on the back.Â
They both looked to him, though, gesturing him across the street as the cars began to slow.Â
Kuroko shook his head.Â
There was no way. He tried to avoid crossing streets when the light was green, let alone when cars were racing past every which way.Â
âTetsu, whatâs wrong? Get a move on, weâre going to miss them!â Aomine called, looking slightly agitated.Â
His heart rate picked up, and he shifted from foot to foot, glancing at the light, thinking maybe it would turn if he just wished hard enough.Â
âKuroko? You all right?â Hinata called, and Kuroko could see the worried crease between his eyebrows from here. That, more than anything, made his shoulders straighten.Â
He blinked at the sign, waiting for it to turn, and stepped off the corner the instant it did. He only got a couple steps when . . . Â
Hooooooooooonk!
He skittered forwards in front of the car, narrowly missing getting clipped, before landing at Hinata and Aomineâs side, heart racing. Their eyes were wide, staring at him like heâd grown a second head.Â
âWhat on earth! Was that guy even looking where he was going? Iâm gonna rip his head off if he tries that stunt again!âÂ
Aomine had obviously had time to take in the situation, because he immediately looked down the road like he wanted to track down the perpetrator right then and there. Hoping to diffuse some of the tension, Kuroko shrugged.Â
âIt always happens on this road,â Kuroko said as calmly as he could with his heart trying to beat through his chest. âIâve gotten used to it.âÂ
âGotten used to it?â Hinata said incredulously. âYou shouldnât have to get used to it, they should learn to slow down and actually look where theyâre going!âÂ
Kuroko glanced between the two boys, wondering at their change in attitude. Not two minutes prior the only thing on their minds had been getting to Maji Burger and ordering a heaping portion of food. Now, they were looking like they wanted to grill and serve the driver for nearly hitting him.Â
âItâs not a big deal?â Kuroko tried again, putting a hand over his heart. âItâs gotten better, really. I havenât had to go to the hospital this year at all.âÂ
Aomine landed his face in his hands and groaned, long and loud. Hinata was much more vocal, throwing his hands towards the sky, worried crease looking like it was going to be permanently etched into his face. âKuroko! Normal people donât have to go to the hospital every year because they get hit by stupid drivers--â
âPromise you wonât ever cross here without us,â Aomine pleaded, bringing his head up out of his hands. âI donât want to think about what Akashi would do to us if he found out you ended up in the hospital on our watch.âÂ
âOk,â Kuroko agreed, baffled. Whatever would make them stop staring at him with that . . . look on their faces.Â
Hinataâs shoulders slumped, and he flopped his arm across Kurokoâs shoulders with forced cheer. âYou know what this means, Ao-teme? We have our own resident ghost story!â
âWhat are you going on about now, carrot top?âÂ
âThink about it!â Hinata insisted, wiggling his fingers before putting on a âghost storyâ voice. âYoung boy dies trying to cross the street. He forever haunts those same footsteps, never able to get to the other side! Watch for him in the road, for you never know when he will . . . APPEAR!âÂ
âThat sounds stupid,â Aomine deadpanned, and Hinata launched himself off Kurokoâs shoulder to tackle him.Â
Kuroko coughed a laugh, a short, wheezy thing, spawned more from adrenaline and shock than honest humor, but still. It was good to know his friends always had his back.Â
Even if they did make him into a ghost story.Â

Kuroko wasnât really born into the mediator role (nor did he have enough friends to teach him that particular skill early on).
No, his expertise came in the form of Aomine and Hinata.
âIâm telling you, he was my friend first!â
âHow? You barely spoke five words to each other!â
An incredulous sniff from Hinata that sounded reminiscent of Midorima. Hinata was taking well to his new senpai, it would seem.
âLike I need words to find someone worthy of spending time with. Only you would have to chat someoneâs ear off for hours to see if they could handle your stupidity.â
âWhy youâ!â
âAomine-kun, Hinata-kun, please donât fight.â
âHa! See, five words and Iâm still on the same level as you, Aomine-kun.â
âPlease donât provoke him, Hinata-san.â
âOh, looks like someone just got demoted, Hinata-san,â Aomine jeered, throwing an arm over Kurokoâs shoulder. He twitched at the unexpected contact, and Hinata pulled him away just as quickly.Â
âOh an youâre so much better-- you canât even tell when heâs uncomfortable! I bet you couldnât even see him the first time you went into the 4th gym.âÂ
âOh and youâre saying you could?âÂ
âGuys,â Kuroko protested, twisting out of both their grips as tension started to fly. âWerenât we here for something?â
Both boys blinked at him in surprise before brightening at seeing they had reached their destination.Â
âMaji burger! Câmon, Kuroko, you have to try it.â Hinata said, pushing him into the fast food place from behind.Â
âI still canât believe youâve never had it before,â Aomine drawled, walking in behind them with his hands stuffed in his pockets. Kuroko sighed as he walked up to the register, hoping they wouldnât make too much of a scene when the cashier inevitably failed to pick up his presence.Â
Thankfully Hinata spared him the opening act as he rattled off his order, then picked a fight with Aomine as the two duked it out over who could eat more. Kuroko coughed again before it could escalate further, and both turned to him with matching grins.Â
âRight! Tetsu, waddya want?â Aomine said, backing off from Hinata, who was still glaring daggers.Â
Nothing, now, Kuroko wanted to say, having fully been turned off from the idea of burgers from the sheer amount the two had ordered. But they wouldnât let him off the hook without ordering something, so . . .Â
âThat,â he decided, pointing to the least greasy food item he could find. Both the cashier and the boys followed his finger, and Aomine turned to gawk at him.Â
âA milkshake? Really?âÂ
âWhatâs wrong with it?â Hinata demanded, getting right back up in his face.Â
âItâs not even a burger!âÂ
âSo?! We didnât bring him here to get a burger, just to try what he liked!âÂ
âChocolate or Vanilla?â The cashier said, just a bit desperately.Â
Kuroko frowned a bit, but, considering how much chocolate he already ate, plus the fact that his family chefs had probably made dessert for when he got back . . .Â
âVanilla,â He decided, and then went up to pay to avoid the commentary sure to erupt, if Aomineâs opening mouth was any indication. A grunt from behind him made him positive he owed Hinata something nice for elbowing Aomine into silence.
The cashier nodded gratefully and had the order ready in almost a flash--a testament to how routinely Aomine and Hinata came here, if they were prepped for that many burgers at this time of night.
âSo why have you never been to Maji Burger before?â Aomine asked, as they settled down in a booth.Â
Kuroko shrugged, fiddling with the wrapper of the straw heâd been given. âNever had a need to. My-- my cook makes sure I have enough food for the day, and dinner prepped for whenever I get back. Going home to eat is faster than âfastâ food is.âÂ
Aomineâs eyes widened, and he started hacking on his burger at the word âcookâ. Hinata, however, just brightened and threw himself across the table to ruffle Kurokoâs hair.Â
âWell, weâll just have to make sure you get lots and lots! Maji Burger is the usual hangout, after all.âÂ
âSince when?!â Aomine demanded, as soon as he finished coughing.Â
âSince now! All traditions have to start somewhere!âÂ
âWhat makes you think I want to make traditions with you?!â Aomine retorted.Â
Kuroko jabbed the straw into his shake and took a deep sip to occupy him (give him an excuse so he didnât have to intervene, more like), and promptly froze.Â
â... Kuroko?â Hinata asked trepidatiously, frozen mid-cheek-stretch with Aomine trying to pry the oranget off of him.
Kuroko turned his head, trying to hide the sudden sparkle in his eyes. âItâs good,â He said finally.Â
A pause. Then,Â
âWahoo! Yo, Ao-teme, we need to come here every day! Or maybe every week, cuz we have practice late most days and I really need to study for my Math exams-- ooh, or maybe you guys can help me with them?âÂ
âWhat makes you think Iâm any better at Math than you are?!âÂ
âI think itâs a great idea,â Kuroko interjected softly. Both boys looked at him, but for once he didnât shrink in discomfort. Shake cradled between both hands, he stared at the two, waiting for their response.Â
Aomine reacted first, chuckling and shaking his head. âI ainât paying every day.âÂ
âWeâll take turns,â Kuroko suggested, and the other two were quick to agree.Â
Well. He might notâve been a natural peacemaker, but the peace he found that day just made the success all the sweeter.Â
