There's a strange woman out in the woods. Foreign from the looks of the hair colour and sitting calmly on a lot playing a violin. The same sequence over and over again, occasionally adding something else and scribbling it down only to play again and huff and change her mind. Seems she's lost in her own little world.
Well, they didnât usually get trespassers. Of course, there was always the odd exception to the rule. Tohru for example, this woman as well. She certainly was talented.Shigure stood and listened for a few moments to the melody as it moved through the air. As she stopped to write once, he walked over. âHello there, I donât mean to interrupt. Itâs just, I've never heard such lovely violin playing in my back yard before.â Did he just casually drop that she was playing on private property? âAre you a professional by chance?âÂ

Shigure could think of, off the top of his head. About 10 reasons that Yuki might be slapping him, he couldnât deny that he probably deserved it. Still.. âOw, that hurtsâŚwhat did I do to upset you this time?â Yuki may look frail, but he was a good deal stronger then he appeared. Shigureâs cheek was stinging pretty hard.Â

The only time she came up was when Akito complained about her, to which Shigure usually just stayed quiet and listened. âIf you must know, last time we were talking. It was about our sordid secret romance.â It was a joke, he was sure it would put Yuki off so much that he wouldnât continue this line of questioning though.Â

I havenât actually gotten a chance to read âFruits Basket: Anotherâ yet, I was eyeing it in the book store the other day. So iâll have to look into it, though, given what we know of Shigure from the series. I believe youâre absolutely right. Heâd be very over protective, but also very doting. He tries to come off as the wise dad who always has it together, but heâs actually a total flake.Also, Dad jokes. A LOT of Dad jokes, like dear lord. Itâs almost embarrassing how many of them heâd make.Â

A horror story, yes, a horror story. Creatures that could sense the fear in someone and crept after them, following that scent. That was the kind of story he was working on, a small cassette player sitting playing creepy music was setting the tone of the room. He was pretty invested in his writing when Kyo tossed open the door and caused him to jump. âMy goodness Kyo, donât you know about knocking?â Tape, tape. Did they have tape? âYes, I believe we have some in the upstairs closet. Though we are running low, it seems like the costs for repairs have escalated latelyâŚI wonder why that is?âÂ
Who cared about knocking? Every other day a door was getting kicked in anyways. Well maybe he should knock more often actually. He didnât wanna think about that anymore. Shaking his head, he was going to leave with a simple âokâ, but then typical Shigure had to say something.
âIt wasnât even my fault this time!â
But of course, because heâs the cat and Yuki can never do any wrong because heâs so damned perfect, Kyo had to fix everything. One day itâll be him kicking Yuki through a door that heâll have to fix.
âMaybe if you told that damned rat to fight me like a real man your house wouldnât get so busted all the time. Ugh!â
With that he stomps away and up the stairs to fish for the tape.
Somehow he didnât think Yuki would go for that. He shut the cassette player off and stood up and walked out of his study to watch Kyo stalk up the stairs. âHow exactly does a âreal manâ fight anyway?â He sighed, he didnât understand exactly what it was that Kyo wanted. âYou know, you could just take your fights outside. That would reduce the damage on my house...â He knew he was wasting his breathe. It wasnât as if Kyo was actually going to listen. âIf you want help patching the doors, iâm sure Tohru would be more then happy to help.âÂ
