Hallo, friend, has the weeks been treating you well? Have the months spoke highly of you, the years treated you with the kindness I know you're owed? I know the answer to those questions, why they hurt to say and the apologies I would offer you aren't fair or comparable to a solution that would be needed to help them.

It's very odd that the time on the calendar feels so stagnant but it hurts too, we remember those scars for such a length to come and it molds our decisions, teaches us how to navigate and whom we should avoid. We grow callous, sure, jaded even; but we grow wiser and smarter. We survived this new worse. We will survive the next one. And the one after.

Until time exhausts all it can and we're tired, shaking legs and wobbling, but we're standing. You're standing. On both your feet flat to the ground, but not soulless. Soulful and proud. Maybe it doesn't look like that now, but never look just in front of your nose. No, look to the distance, the horizon.

The setting sun giving way to the twinkles of light. Stars, long since expired enlightening the night sky. Even in their death there is beauty, and you are being shined upon! There is always irony, when talking to a Sasuke, in helping them remember to let go. That it's okay. To hurt and heal. Because both happen, together, and you are healing.

Hopefully the next few days give you reasons to smile. The weeks filled with laughter, the months joy, the years memories. That time starts treating you like you should be, with kindness and gentleness.
