Spider Eat Spider

“As if your threats scare me! We’ve battled you guys plenty of times before, and from what we’ve seen, you haven’t been so tough!” Sure Allen had never directly engaged one of Eve’s crew, but he had observed them all and spoken with the Phantom about them afterwords. Maybe he had to engage in battle against one to truly understand their power.

When his expression shifts his body slowly tenses up despite his best attempts to remain strong; a drop of sweat runs down his cheek. This guy wasn’t serious, right? What information that he had would be useful to them? Perhaps, him being held hostage and being used as a tool to lure Yuya out could be in the cards.

Kyoji’s calm demeanor didn’t falter, not even as the boy bolted at him. He moves to step back, his shoulders coming into contact with the pillar behind him as Allen got a hold of him. But he didn’t seem affected by the action, not in the least. Instead, his smile finally fades into something more neutral as small forms (spiders it would seem!) start crawling below the surface of his skin.

“That’s an interesting proposal, Kozuki.” Of course, Kyoji knew the boy’s name without his telling. His role for the group included surveillance of their targets more than anything, after all. But just as quickly Allen had come into contact did Kyoji’s body fall apart in an array of webbing and arachnids-- all presumably Solid Vision, but who was to say for sure? He wasn’t gone for long though. No, not when he spoke up from his newfound place behind the Phantom’s little helper. He takes advantage of Allen’s already forward motion to slam him against the pillar himself, pinning him there with a hand against the back of his neck.

“I think I’ll allow it.” 

Copper hues eye him with a returning smile. Kyoji wasn’t much for toying around so he thinks he’ll end this here. He looks up towards where one of Eve’s cameras had been, an inconspicuous fly on the wall. A bright light emitted from its lens encased them both, the jump between space done in mere seconds. Once they’re there Kyoji not so much throws Allen on the ground as he does drop him onto the pristine white tiles of Eve’s base of operations. Or to be more accurate, Kyoji’s domain of said base. The room they were now in was large and fairly empty save for the countless monitors alongside one of the walls. 

“Like hell if you think I’d let you!” He spat; his fists curling at his sides. This chump had to be one of Eve’s goons. He not only had her mark on his clothing, but he had that aura about him too. It reminded him of Sora Shuinin, and that wasn’t a good sign. 

He lowers his disk, now deactivated. While this wasn’t the Phantom himself, he had to admit this was a decent enough catch nevertheless. Hopefully enough to please Eve, who had sent him out on the hunt in return for his little...gift, in the first place.

“But I do think that it’s you, who doesn’t know what they’re doing.” He narrows his gaze, his expression turning from one of amusement to one that was dark and dangerous. His smile ever present. “Keep that up and I’ll have to end you before getting what I want, and that wouldn’t be good. No, not at all.”

He’s serious, that much was certain from the way he now eyed the boy.

“I hope so as well, but we cannot underestimate the Phantom’s power. He’s shown us how.. unpredictable and effective his magic can be during duels. However, it seems like Ren’s ancestor isn’t going to allow him to fight this time. I wonder how long that will last…” She knew the Phantom’s pattern by now. While his personalities would do some of the fighting, it was always him with the support gained, winning in the end. Of course, the only exception was when Ren dueled the Synchro user alone, but to her knowledge, Yuya Sakaki had been unconscious. She was quite interested to see how this duel played out.

Eve is then taken back slightly by Kyoji’s statement. He was interested in her? Well, that was certainly new. Oh, it wasn’t like the spider lover ever showed any disdain for her, but he was always in the darkness; working on his own projects and doing his best to prepare for upcoming battles if he did need to fight. So, this was a quite interesting development indeed.

“I’m doing…well, I suppose I could say. I was scanned by Issac not too long ago, and I’ve recovered from my last pain spell. He says I should be fine for now, at least. ” Having an unknown illness with still no cure wasn’t exactly what one could call well, but it was all she could manage to say really. “Though, my shoulders have been…aching a bit since I returned here. And I apologize too for my appearance. My hair is way too out of control at the moment.”

Oh well. As Eve would say it; this was the price of pulverizing history.

Thankfully Kyoji hasn’t skipped across time and space as much as Eve, Issac or Ren have. In that regard he was in better shape than most of them, aside from Sora that is. Out of them all they were perhaps the ones in best health, having not heavily been touched or marred by signs of unnatural aging or scaring that didn’t come from their original lives.

“I see,” He could’ve very well said ‘I know’, because he did. Their base of operations may have been quite large for a group of a current mere five members, but Kyoji knew just about everything that occurred inside. Well, he hadn’t bothered much with the extent of Issac’s research. But had he felt the need to it’d be an easy feat. 

Before the brush had managed to find itself off the table and onto the floor, it’s stopped midair. And with a tug, Kyoji guides the brush into his own hand with the thin spider’s thread that had caught onto the handle the moment it had fallen. “Allow me,” He steps behind Eve, but the hand that brushes past her skin is not his own. Rather that of a clone of a man woven from silken spider threads. A Solid Vision creation of his own, a near perfect replica of one person in particular he’d seen once or twice buried deep in archived files. “Well, to be more accurate; Allow my...surprise...to.”

The clone cranes around to face Eve, a brilliant smile pulling at their slightly webbed features. Gentle eyes shone with a strange sort of life that shouldn’t have been possible for a doppelganger, yet-- “Eve... You shouldn’t apologize for your appearance. You’re as beautiful as always.” Ah...without audio files this wouldn’t have been possible either.

While assembling her comrades, the holder of Genesis Omega Dragon was sure to select members who specialized in not only unique skills but also a different summoning method. This was to ensure no matter what powers their enemies possessed, as not even Eve was aware who would possess the Adam Factor, she had someone who could match them and overpower them in battle. A young boy, around the same age as Yuya Sakaki, had been selected as her XYZ warrior. His name was Kyoji Yagumo.

Unlike the duelists who specialized in Synchro and Pendulum, Kyoji was not a descendant of one of their enemies. In fact, he came from a completely different dimension; G.O.D allowing Eve to see into that world when his vast pleas and devotion were shown at his dramatic display of murdering his ‘little brother’. Using the card’s power, she was able to turn back time; allowing him to not be deceived by the little twat and still have a successful dueling carrier. Then, after he had been satisfied with his life, Eve had returned to recruit him in her cause; reverting his age back to how he was the day they met.

As usual, Eve was in her chambers; having just returned from an examination by Issac. Ren had answered the call of the Phantom and was about to challenge him on his terms. Sora had gone with the scientist to investigate, so Eve was left alone with no one. That is until the XYZ agent himself had entered her room.

Well, G.O.D. was there too, of course. How careless of him to nearly leave it out. 

“Very true. But I thought it was due time I pay the Lady Eve a visit.” Kyoji chuckles lightly, taking Eve’s invitation by placing himself beside her and taking a look upon the many casted screens to find Ren and the Phantom readying their Duel Runners. “If Ren is successful here it’d give a huge step forward towards your goal of awakening Genesis Omega Dragon. Let’s hope he does well not to disappoint.”

If he did, well, Kyoji was always on the back-burner for whenever Eve saw him fit to battle either of those holding the Adam Factors. Although, he didn’t mind the lack of front-line action. He often had others duel in his place in his past life as well so he didn’t mind staying back and keeping an eye on things here from the sidelines.

Losing one’s soul to Astral World definitely caused someone to not have much feeling. This was the case for Haruto Tenjo; a young boy who due to the manipulations of the Dark God, had become a shell of his former self. His power and connection to the hunter Kaito had made him very sought after by his brother’s foes. One such foe was Kyoji Yagumo; the number hunter capturing him and even tampered with his life just to mess with his older brother.

Currently, he was in the remains of Heartland Tower; sleeping somewhat peacefully on a bed in the center of it all. Despite Kyoji’s appearance, he did have some respect for the lives of children. He wasn’t going to lock up Haruto, but maybe that was because of how much he reminded him of his own little brother he had killed by his own hand.

A shaky grown escaped the boy’s lips as he awoke; his blank eyes opening to the image of his captor above him. Any other person would react with either fright, surprise, or anger. Not this boy though. All he did was slightly tilt his head in confusion.

But Kyoji planned on using Kaito correctly. Where Mr. Heartland went wrong, Yagumo would do right and continue the attacks on the Astral World in order to bring destruction to both it and this one. So here Haruto lay; and here Kyoji watched over him as he rested after having been pushed a little too far.

At some point, Haruto’s cries for Kaito in his sleep caused Kyoji’s heart to throb terribly in his chest and a voice to echo in his ears. A cold sweat came over him and left him gasping for lost breath at Haruto’s bedside. It always hurt to be reminded of his own lost little brother, but it’s been a long while since it brought him to his knees. Perhaps Haruto just reminded him of his sibling a little too much. As Haruto awoke though Kyoji was already rising back to a stand, as if that little episode hadn’t happened at all.

“Asking where your big brother is before even wondering where you are yourself now are we?” Kyoji comments, hands sliding to his pockets. Neither of his questions pertained to himself,and he found that fitting for a shell of a boy who probably couldn’t even tell if he was alive or dead anymore. “I don’t know where he is... But I will find him. I have something very special to show him after all.”
